Citrus Compliment Magnet?
Introduction:
So far, I have received more compliments from no other fragrance than from "Imagination" by Louis Vuitton. However, I have noticed that this scent unfortunately becomes undetectable on me after 3-4 hours, even when I apply it with 3-4, sometimes even more sprays.
My Daily Companion:
Over the span of just over a year, Imagination has become my daily companion and my signature scent. The citrus and Chinese black tea accords are a perfect blend for me. Interestingly, I like the scent much better in the drydown than when I first spray it. Unfortunately, the drydown phase lasts only a limited time for me, as I can hardly perceive it then.
Longevity Issue or Olfactory Fatigue:
I often assumed that my diminishing perception was due to olfactory fatigue on my part. However, through research in numerous forums on this topic, I have found that Imagination simply lacks the necessary longevity.
Which is really a shame, because I would love to smell like it all day long without needing portable decants of Imagination.
Conclusion and Suggestion:
My conclusion is that I would be willing to pay more than double the current price for this fragrance if it had the same longevity as its siblings like Ombre Nomade. My suggestion to Louis Vuitton would be to introduce an Extrait edition, which would surely resonate with the already large fanbase of Imagination.
Nevertheless, I find the option to refill the fragrance at half the purchase price fair and progressive. I am already looking forward to taking a day trip to Munich.
