6 and lemon cake
My predecessors in the review column have already said a lot, and in a very creative and eloquent way. So why write another review? Because this fragrance deserves it!

In my opinion, Orto Parisi is by no means an entry-level niche brand, because the fragrances are statements. Overloaded and difficult to handle. But so beautiful in their own way. Anyone who has the chance to test them should do so over a long period of time, because the fragrances seem to last forever. And you always recognize different facets. It's only nuances, notched on the crowbar of each individual Orto Parisi, that make these fragrances so interesting.

In the case of Bergamask, the crowbar consists of bergamot and musk. But if you test carefully, you will find so much more. Light woods, lavender, orange. I imagine a parallel to the Musc Ravageur.
Because this animalic is already good there. Always strong with lemon, of course.
If you now think you have the perfect summer fragrance in the form of a long-lasting citrus, you're way off the mark. It works really well in summer, but it is not a fresh fragrance. Locking this fragrance up in an office may even be unpleasant for 50% of those present.
Of course, tastes are different.

I have recently come to appreciate Bergamask very much and I think that if you have already gained some experience in the niche world, you can make optimum use of it and Megamare to get to know Orto Parisi.

Sunday fragrance
Take off the lid, spray on and feel good. Gris Charnel is a great soft fragrance without edges. A great combination of fig, tea, cardamom and woody notes create a feel-good oasis that suits many occasions. You can wear this fragrance in the office, in your free time, but it is at its best when you wear it on a walk on a Sunday afternoon. It is not overpowering, despite the sweet cardamom and tonka bean in the fragrance pyramid. Simply a well-balanced masterpiece. Incidentally, although it is not listed, I detect a coconut note, but it is very restrained and very mature.
In my opinion, this fragrance is unisex. Many people think that the extrait is more masculine and the EDP is more feminine, I agree with the extrait, but I don't see it that way with the EDP.

Longevity: A good 6-8 hours with one of the most beautiful fragrance gradients that I have been able to sniff to date. This fragrance always retains a beautiful spicy-sweet base, but clearly shows the individual notes as they have a short dominant phase from time to time until they are replaced by the next.

Sillage: Initially, for half an hour, you notice the wearer well, even at a distance. After about an hour you can smell it as a light aura as you walk past and after 2 hours it can still be perceived close to the skin.

Price: I think the price is perfectly fine. It is technically a great fragrance, very pleasing, which does not come around the corner as a beast, but is really good as a daily.

Conclusion: A great introduction to the niche world if you want to know how complex a fragrance can be and how it can develop. You can spray it on every day, it doesn't get boring in my opinion and the price is just in the lower segment for a niche fragrance (of course it can always be cheaper and perfumes are a luxury)

Complex / how every cog interlocks.
I begin this review with humility, because I have wanted to write it for a long time. But you want to do this giant of the perfume world as much justice as possible. Why giant? The price point is the first thing that might trip you up, because 550 euros is pretty steep.
Then the box arrives at your home and you open this piece of high-quality art. The packaging already gives you an idea of what's inside. Sophisticated design and flourishes. But you can expect that too. The bottle is a massive stunner. It feels and looks high quality. A golden block of decadence. A 10/10.

Now to the fragrance: The first spray honestly overwhelmed me a little. The spray ignites an oifactorial firework of the extra class. Sweet rose, light oud notes (not stinky, but woody), subtle nuances of fig, which is also sweet, but also tart. This fragrance has a lot of volume and yet seems so light. Attention is guaranteed!
The whisky comes through in the drydown. Grandiose. The various fragrance notes in the pyramid come through from time to time, but only very slightly in comparison to the main accords and, in contrast, they are fleeting but nevertheless important.
They underline what a masterpiece this bottle contains. They round off this fragrance and ensure that this fragrance plays in the Champions League.
This fragrance is a MUST for perfume lovers. At the very least, it must be tested or experienced.

Conclusion:

Do you get what the price promises?
Simple answer: YES!!!!

Good winter fragrance, but.....
One of the hyped fragrances for the cold season is the Side Effect by INITIO and I can understand why. It is super balanced and very likeable. It mixes very fine components that really make you think of a mulled wine hut. Rum, cinnamon, vanilla, tobacco and a light sandalwood aroma give the wearer a fine and high-quality sillage. Not a beast fashion sillage, but something very fine. I personally don't smell saffron at all. The price point of INITIO is one of those things. I find them a little too expensive. However, they know their craft when it comes to perfume.

Now comes the big BUT:
For me, it smells 1:1 like the Jazz Club by Maison Margiella. It is also high quality, but has a little less longevity than the Side Effect. However, it only costs 30% of the latter.

Conclusion: The Side Effect is a super, high-quality fragrance that really delivers on the promise of compliments, with a high price tag.

Unagitated and grown up
Versace and oud sounds at first like a combination that does not harmonize so well. But to err is human. The oud is little stinky and has no association with the otherwise so animalic stable smell a la Lv Ombre Nomade. It is well dosed and does not drown out the freshness that this fragrance stands's gives off. In the drydown, the oud becomes more present, but not annoying.
In general, it must be said that Versace remains true to itself and offers a fresh fragrance, with a certain maturity.
Give offshoots like Dylan Blue or Eros still very youthful "vibes" and are shouted as clubbing or even date fragrances, this fragrance is for the seasoned, rational and calculating thinking man. Certainly in autumn and spring a great alternative as an everyday fragrance.
The price is for a foiled bottle at about 70-100 euros, since a designer house like Versace can still make a slightly better offer, but you get a solid fragrance with signature character.
