Appetizing powder
A powdery gourmand. It has a lot of acidic fruits in it and it kind of disappointed me, because I was expecting to find the same DNA as the original, but as it happens with a lot of flakers, it did not happen. They do share the same lasting yet not overpowering sillage. Actually, it reminds more of Guerlain's L'Instant Magique (a powdery gem), but more yummy and with an important component of red fruits, raspberry in particular.

One of my favourite winter scents
I tried this and a few others, amongst which there was Casamorati Italica: in the opening they're very similar and they in fact share some notes. I can definitely smell the almond and some milky notes.
Though, if Italica turns very cherry-like, sour and a bit off-putting, Saffran Gourmand is a splendid composition with balance, elegance, roundness. It's enveloping with the sweet notes that support the saffron, but never invasive or bothersome.
The bottle reminds me a bit of Balenciaga Paris EdP, even though the Places des Lices design is a bit more appealing to me: it's like having a luxurious vintage bottle on the dresser.
I practically stumbled upon this perfume (I entered the shop to test Elix by Tiziana Terenzi) and fell in love with it. Only a physical shop can give you certain experiences (and help you find things you wouldn't have considered otherwise).
If you're looking for a lactonic, comforting, yet delicate fragrance, I strongly recommend you try this one because it's so nicely made.

Almond and cherry memories
A little gem.
First comes the vivacious, delicious smell of black cherries in syrup, fruity, sweet, and very natural. Then the composition evolves, the cherries leave a bit of space to sugared almonds. After a while what I get is a base of cherries and vanilla with this fantastic fortified almond concoction. The liquor part reminds me of Amaretto Disaronno which is a famous liqueur here in Italy, with a faint touch of rose.
In the drydown, after 6-7 hours, what's left on my skin is tonka bean and a bit of soft, delicate musk.
It's amazing how this fragrance gives you a soft encouragement to look through your memories and try to find something in the back of the mind that maybe hasn't been brought up in years. Many Serge Lutens creations give me this comforting feeling. Many of them are true masterpieces.
Rahat Loukoum in particular makes me think about my childhood and my family, even though I never had these Turkish sweets nor I've never been in Turkey.

A rose in a vegetable garden
Eau Rose Eau de Parfum is a freshly cut and herbal, vegetable rose, as if you could smell the stem as well, and that I attribute to the artichoke accord, while the litchi gives it its juicy feeling, making it a bit more amiable.
It's not pungent, but it's not a "sweet" rose, it has character, it's a modern, young interpretation of the rose.
An interesting fragrance if you like rose, and you want to try a different interpretation of it.

Effortlessly chic
Just as the name suggests, this perfume gives you the idea of a white clean cotton shirt, with a hint of citrusy sweetness. It's not like Blanche or The Muse by Zarkoperfume: it does not smell like an harsh detergent, at least to my nose.
It's more like sniffing the soft fabric that's been cleaned with a natural detergent that smells like talc, powdery but not lipstick-like.
I'm not a very good judge of the longevity of a fragrance, especially because my skin is totally anarchic regarding how it reacts with the compositions sometimes. It has good lasting power on me though.
This is the kind of scent I'd wear in an office or for a semi-formal occasion. Simple, yet put together and not invasive to other people's nose, even though they would smell it if they get at an arm's length.
If it's elegance and softness that you are looking for, this might be for you.
