Tauer Sundowner
This is mr Tauer’s expression of tobacco , vanilla and cinnamon. These are the notes most predominant for my nose, but this is so well blended that from mid to drydown they intermingle and merge perfectly, no note is out of balance here. There is a faint chocolatey vibe present , but all depends in the season you’ll wear it. (More so present in a colder season) I suspect he uses the same Tauer-ade from L’Air du Desert because i smell some minor similarities in the drydown.
All in all an excellent creation by Andy.

Absolue pour le Soir
This is one of the most opulent scents you can smell today , if you can find it that is...Sadly this is discontinued. This really is the scent of the most decadent parties back in the 20's or 30's ( please watch the movie Babylon from last year and you'll understand what i talk ).
Animalic honey combined with benzoin , rose and incense create this old world but totally wearable after 30-40 minutes enveloping you in the most sensuous , luxurious and decadent scent bubble . Longevity and projection are pretty high.

C5de Parfum de Zmeu
A fantastic creation by master perfumer Landi who created the perfume in collaboration with Alexandra Paven which is the owner and creative guru behind C5DE ( a perfume shop in Bucharest , highly recommended if you are traveling here ) . Zmeu in romanian means Ogre and you kinda understand why this was named like this. The Ogre in romanian fairy tales was an evil , supernatural force always defeated eventually by the forces of good. BUT , this Ogre in all the written stories was universally seen and slain in the romanian country side , near villages. And this is where the genius of the composition lies . As one highly regarded reviewer put it , this basically smells like all the herbs , flowers and different sort of plants were put by your grandma to dry in the nearby village shed. It's a powerhouse fragrance with a kind of a macho 80's-90's vibe thrown in for the extra punch. A gorgeous fragrance nonetheless.
Please try it before , no room for blindbuy here.

Cuir Cannage
Is this Dior’s answer to Chanel’s Cuir de Russie? Possibly. If the Chanel was made to recreate the smell of russian boots, this one is reminiscent of the fancy Dior bags worn by fancy women. Indeed this has a lipsticky , make up vibe that the Chanel lacks. One of the greatest leather perfumes ever made in my humble opinion.
There were rumors of discontinuation.

Comme des Garcons 2
Now this was if i’m not mistaken one of the first niche perfumes i tried back in 2014-2015. Being used all my life with smells from sephora , douglas and other stores , this was entirely different and i must admit i was a bit struck by the little weirdness in the opening. Created in 1999 it must have been really weird for the people smelling in the 2000s. Don’t get me wrong, in 2023 this is no scary stuff, on the contrary, you are greeted with the most beautiful floral , airy, aldehydic smell coupled with a nice inky accord and the typical woods and subtile incense from the brand. The ink accord may be a gimmick or not, it is fleeting some days, some days you can’t smell it , but it is one of the few fragrances that uses this ingredient. The perfect unisex scent.
