I love this one! The only leather I’ve felt compelled to buy a full bottle of, Italian Leather doesn’t strike me as Italian at all. The tomato leaf is the real star for me. It’s savory, spicy, then sweet. Sexy throughout. I am unlucky with many frags in the longevity department, many that last for eons on others vanish on me. Not this one. In fact, everything I’ve tried from Memo has incredible lasting power. The beautiful design and luxury feel are bonuses, and welcome at this price point. This is not for every day (or even every night) but it wows me whenever I wear it. I wore TF Velvet Orchid for a few years as my go-to evening frag and this feels a bit like a more unusual, risk-taking version of that: heavy, distinctive, intoxicating.

I was fortunate enough to obtain a sample of this and decided to wear it as my scent of the day. Unfortunately, the sample was defectively and/or evaporated and I only got a little bit on my skin, not even one full sprays worth. However, that little bit went a very, very long way.

Simply put, it is the best amber fragrance that I have ever smelled. Admittedly, I haven't smelled them all, but I have smelled some heavy hitters like MFK Grand Soir and Serge Lutens Ambre Sultan and Akkad beats them both, easily.

Final thoughts...

I can't say anymore than this, if you love amber, you MUST get a sample to try this incredible fragrance. If you love amber, it is a safe blind buy but I would always recommend trying first. I need to get a bottle. This fragrance is incredible

Esteemed Mugler's Pure Havana A*Men.. Made according to a sexy fragrance profile, which constantly gets a bigger audience of its fans every day... In this category we have quite a few very well-known strong players (Tobacco vanilla, Herod, Naxos...) Like similar the others, this one is also made especially for seasons without heat and the sweetness makes it stronger! Tobacco, chocolate, honey, vanilla and patchouli make for some quite a sweet bomb - for me it is very useful and sexy in winter! Tobacco smells have a characteristic aura and add a feeling warmth and comfort - but Havana can be directed a little too much in the sweet direction like the others listed above - It's not for every day - but when I use it - I enjoy it! So the offer has been discontinued, isn't it?

Others reach for Encre Noire when it's a dull, dreary, rainy day. Ferrari Black is what I find most appealing when I feel the weather outside needs some taming.

I was given a 75ml. bottle of Black for my birthday in January 2000 by my sister. Back then I didn't have many fragrances to call on - probably a mere three or four. At the time I didn't think much of Ferrari Black because Kouros was king in my eyes (and it still holds a special place in my collection).

This is such a bizarre scent a really odd combination of notes that takes some getting used to. Has minty herbal facets, chilli, nutmeg, vetiver, grapefruit and citrus it’s all over the shop. I’m not sure if the perfumer was high when he created it. It’s discordant as hell and even reminds me a little of bug spray. The mint in it is kind of muted and spicy too and not overly cold or bright. It also has a slightly off-putting underlying savoury vegetal smell to it too and is dry and airy and with no sweetness. I know some people love this one and I applaud it’s uniqueness and daring but every time I wear it I’m left perplexed.
