The WC duck runs then times amok
I am very fond of perfumes that remind me of things. Since I find the concept of the Library of Fragrances cool, I thought I could order two copies, since the homepage had 2 for 1. My final choice was Lavender Martini and Provence Meadow.

The fragrances specified by Demeter are Fennel, basil, thyme, lavender and rosemary. But the fragrance does not smell like that. Rather, it is an ode of terribly penetrating, artificial lemon fragrance and alcohol. After the test sprayer, the guy asked me if I had an alcohol breath. That's as clear a statement as you can get.

The flacon is now in our bathroom to destroy any traces of odour when something leaks - after all, the flacon is recyclable and I can use it for other purposes.

Inside what it says
Admittedly the fragrance is straightforward. You can smell nutmeg and lime, and it was. So far so unspectacular. But far from it: the fragrance combines both components very well to a harmonious unity, which is fresh and at the same time pleasant without being obtrusive.

I really like the scent in summer, because I take it when I need to smell pleasant quickly.
The disadvantage is that it has a short shelf life because it evaporates quickly - but you should know this when you buy an Eau de Cologne. All in all, I think it is one of the best fragrances of the range and helps me in summer to avoid being the victim of massive mosquitoes

Mint Rose
The wild rose in the top note is clear, yet soft and not very aggressive. It does not evaporate so quickly and remains present.

The components of the heart note come slowly but powerfully. But the fragrance is clear, although one might expect a rather tangy bouquet from the roses. Cedar and pachouli form a solid base.

The fragrance is minty and refreshing. It is a great summer scent, but stronger than an eau.

Vanillin
I really like fragrances that have a vanilla content but are not too aggressive. Therefore I started to search for them. At some point I loaded up at Eau des Missions and was fascinated.

Anyone who has experienced the sweet vanilla, which is usually known from early puberty school classes, will be disappointed. Instead, it's an adult, extremely powdery vanilla, which will certainly be perceived as musty by some. Personally, I like the straightforwardness of the scent, because it doesn't smell like vanilla sugar, but clear vanilla aroma.

The scent is comparable to the liquid vanilla extract that you can take for baking. It has an almost earthy effect and if you sniff the liquid, it also has some rum aroma that you can use for baking.

I find the fragrance special and like it, but you have to go for the vanilla kind if you're more of a fan of the sweet, girly vanilla (Impulse Vanilla from 1998).

Summer in times of Corona
I was looking for a summer scent. The plan was to look at the original. Unfortunately, the perfume dealer I trusted only had "the yellow one." She warned me that the scent wasn't what I expected, but I might like it.

And yes, he did. It's fresh, woody, and yet unusual for me. The gardenia and jasmine form a beautiful unit based on the woods. The bergamot brings freshness - but without the citric toilet experience - which I like with summer scents. Rather, the fragrance acts as a unity that is not obtrusively overfreshed (smell of lemon shower gel, which must be fresh now to die).

As I am a calibre that likes to wear a vanilla cloud in midsummer, the fragrance is unusual for me. But the guy says that he likes the fact that I dare to get out of my vanilla hammer corner once in a while and now, in his opinion, "somehow smell like Italy".

Here we go.
