The glow up of black orchid
This one is a way better version than edp, especially in the opening. When i first tried BO, didn’t appeal much to me because it was mainly an earthly sour dry woody fragrance - where i couldn’t envision directly all of the beauty. I gave up on it BUT during the dry down started to get different whiffs of it where i became almost addicted the- truffle.

So instead of going for edp, i thought why not directly blind buy the parfum since both go in the same direction. Well, everything that made me like the OG, i found it in the parfum from the opening to its end. The emphasis on the truffle note is significantly more proement, it’s less earthy but softer, well rounded, less sharp in the sourness. The truffle note is really what makes this fragrance exceptionnal and unique - while the OG takes some time to get there, with the « parfum » you directly get to the beauty of what BO firstly intended to be.

The plus the EDP has, is that during the dry down, chocolaty note appears (sweetness) which way more foreward than in the parfum which eventually counterbalance the initial flaws of the opening (which i believe what scares most of people who say to dislike this fragrance). No more sourness, no more dry earthy but instead it becomes a luxurious deep and richer than le Parfum, which remains truffle forward and boozy, lacking this profoundness.
The EDP is unisexe in the opening before becoming feminine. The parfum is more feminine, sweeter from the begining.

Hence, while liking strong truffle, i am glad having the parfum. But i couldn’t be without the edp, because then i was lacking of the profound aspect of it. So now i layer both by applying them together.
Both perform great even though the parfum, seems to do better.

EDP OG : 8.5/10 (i really have to wait for the dry down to benefit from it)
Le parfum : 9.5/10 (could be perfect on its own but knowing edp, i was missing a slight part of it)

Feels like a scam…
very faint ; a disappointment, wouldn’t advise to anyone who considers performance of a fragrance as a criteria. Doesn’t project, doesn’t last either (i used 20 sprays i guess). It reminds me of a weaker version of jasmine fragrance which is well more beautifully done and way stronger (as of this green jasmine tea scent it has) ; noctural jasmine from givenchy. The second one is WAYY more powerful. Rabanne please stop this non sense or start to make extract of fragrance there are people out there who would rather spend 2x twice as much and at least get something out of their perfume that would perform than spending 90€ just to render that it just like throwing your money in the bin. Don’t you realize that bad experience as such lead to disinterest to your brand? I understand you are willing to make money so that you make saving on oil concentration; but isn’t a dumb move really when you can release a flanker 30-40% concentrated beast mode and still be able to make huge profit (there are dubai houses out there that still have great profit margins out of their 40€ value fragrances and high concentrated oils) and become a renown brand, so that everyone would be amazed by the scent and constantly rebuy it? Wouldn’t be hard to make one 20% concentrated at 90€ like this one, and another one at 135€ for instance with higher performance?

Edit : SMELLS EXACTLY LIKE BERDOUES 1902 JASMINE (eau de toilette) for 1/8 of the price and it has better performance. PLEAAAASE PLEAASE trust me on this one, EXACTLY THE SAME 1:1 for 1/8 of the price i swear i regret so much blind buying this fragrance
Similar one also is Jeanne en provence Jasmin secret. Go and compare just goes to show you how bad of a release this is

Jimmy Choo alike
It’s strongly reminded me of a mixture between jimmy choo i want choo and jimmy choo i want choo forever. It’s sold for 8€ in the country it’s made ; for that price a real good deal! However, i bought this one for 25€ and even though it smells great, performance isn’t peak. But same goes for jimmy choo frangrances for 5/6x the price this one has. So please save your money, get this one for the cheapest you can, and let it sit a while.

Most failed blind buy
I was mislead by people saying this one was « more intense », « stronger » than the original divine that i got to test and adored. So i went for the more expensive version of le divine, supposed to have better performance. Well… It’s absotulety the contrary ; divine original overperforms this one by far. Unfortunately divine le parfum doesn’t project at all, and this buy was useless. It’s immediately a skin scent, there is no projection at all.

The only thing useful about this one, is it’s bottle that i can’t wait to refill with the divine original instead

Another gabbana another disappointment
The gorgeous bottle made me obsessed and was desperately trying to get a tester to try - as i now avoid blind buying any gabbana flankers because of many disappointments especially linked to their mediocre performance - and this one was quite expensive to say the least.

I finally could get my hands on this one (i ordered a tester), and was happy i didn't purchase it. It smells exactly like my hands soap that costs 4€ (Baylis&Harding The Edit Cherry Temptation). The cherry here while pleasant and lightweight, is nothing new; any cheaper alternatives of cherry for 5€ would smell the same and the cherry here takes the lead for the first 20min (we only smell it). With a barely perceptible sillage (no projection at all).

After cherry disappears, you directly sense a weird mix of poorly blended jasmine/vanilla (it remains a skin scent) ; it's like the intense a version in the dry down where we can still sense a little cherry in the mixture, you take that and remove the cherry.

Overall the longevity is approximately of an hour on skin, with a mediocre projection for 10 min before becoming a skin scent. Overall this fragrance despite of its magnificient bottle, is ridiculously overpriced and so not worth it. I found it to be a waste of money even if you absolutely adore cherry scents; i'm sure better alternative out there exist for cheaper price, there is absolutely nothing extraordinary (either the scent with the simple cherry smell or its performance) about this fragrance.
