Milky Ylang

Scandal Intense offers an extremely smooth and velvety scent, I’d even say downright milky. There’s a slight hint of honey, but what stands out the most is the ylang-ylang, making this new release a great pick for summer. As for the cardamom, I honestly can’t detect it at all. That’s a shame, since I tend to enjoy perfumes with spicy notes - it could have added a nice little twist.

It doesn’t bring anything new to the world of perfumery, but I still find it pleasant overall.

I really like the purple bottle, though I still can’t stand that cap with the legs in the air…

Astonished of how good this is

Nothing alike like other scandals that didn’t stand out for me. But this one, it’s something else, original : it’s amazing. Best combination of my favorite flowers ylang and cardamoma. It makes it sweet without being extra gourmand. It’s subtle but yet a pleasant light and perfect mixture ; its projection was intense for first few hours and longevity great. I can see why so many people are disappointed : i first tried out of a tester from the store, the fragrance was really intense, but once i bought it and i got to try it from my new bottles. Performances were nothing alike and much weaker; perhaps because the tester in the store havr « macerated » enough since there for few days already. I can’t wait to reach my it’s full potential. I would advise you to go in a store and try it out ; not to judge directly out of the new blind-ordered box.

A wonderful perfume

Might not be groundbreaking in uniqueness but this is a really intoxicating vanilla/cardamom combo that I loved at the first sniff in the store. I had to go back and buy a bottle even if the price was steep and I promised not to buy anymore full bottles!

I wore it today at work and everyone around me was wondering what that beautiful scent was, I got endless compliments - and it's not like people don't know I love wearing all kinds of perfume every day.

I agree with the other reviewer who wrote that the tester in the store smells "stronger". I think it's easy to go nose blind when you personally apply the scent on yourself, but obviously it projects amazingly!

I own both Scandal Le Parfum and Scandal Absolu - but Scandal Intense is not much alike them.

Me & my bf both love it

It’s marketed towards women but it’s more unisex imo (as is all fragrance, inherently, just wear what you like). We tried this in boots when it first came out and it’s also the scent that made me change my mind on a lot of JPG. It’s simple but rich, deep, and comforting. Perfectly balanced between sweet, spicy, and floral so it doesn’t really lean any particular way.
