When my friend showed me the Xerjoff fragrances, he said he was very curious how I would find the perfume "La Capitale", he then said it was a strawberry fragrance. Since I have almost an obsession with strawberries I was curious, but didn't have high expectations. Because usually I can not expect that mostly the naturally delicate and juicy, beautiful strawberry scent in cosmetics is marketed as just that.
So I tried the fragrance in the store. I was completely shocked and surprised. In the opening, I took in the overly natural strawberry. The interlude of sweetness and strawberry progressed into a drydown in which the saffron and, after a few hours, the vanilla clearly stood out. The leathery scent made the scent even more interesting. The strawberry is truly the star of the show in this fragrance, but the saffron, vanilla, and leather rounded out the scent perfectly.
Since I only tried La Capitale on a test strip, I took it home to see how long the scent would last. I have never experienced such a good durability. After a week, you could still strongly perceive the scent. It was only after 3 weeks that the fragrance was almost gone. Unfortunately, I can not report on the performance on the skin, but I can imagine that this will turn out transferably good.
For someone who does not like sweet fragrances so much, this perfume will probably be unfortunately nothing. I personally don't like overly sweet scents either, but this one is just stunning. I find him perfect for evenings or dates.
I hope to have it in my collection one day and am really looking forward to it! All in all a very feminine, elegant and luxurious Xerjoff.

Because of the hard Lockdown, I once again had enough free time and tested felt every third women's perfume. I came across the fragrance by browsing in Müller. Since I was at that time the first time in the world of perfumes, I have watched before umpteen Youtube videos about good designer women's perfumes. I wrote down in my notes which fragrances I wanted to try. So with my phone in hand, I walked through the perfume section at Müller, since nothing else was open. Now it was the turn of the fragrance "Gabrielle" by Chanel. The first sprays on the test strip were so convincing that I marked it on my list as "I like and want to buy". Since I love floral and light fragrances, the scent stayed with me for weeks afterwards.
A few months passed, in the meantime I had already bought some designer fragrances and didn't remember "Gabrielle" that strongly at all, but I still bought it 3 months after my first impression. The next day I sprayed it on my skin and knew again in the first second why it was on my list. I knew immediately that I could get rid of my other 3 spring scents and not miss them because I had Gabrielle. The scent is one that would not be inappropriate in any situation in my eyes.
Now I would like to go into more detail about the fragrance. In the opening, you clearly take the sweet, citrusy mandarin was, although the Spür grapefruit has been somewhat lost to me. This is joined by the wonderfully creamy floral ylang ylang. The longer the scent dries on the skin and the drydown begins, the more tart orange blossom and tuberose notes now join in and change the scent character from citrusy creamy to floral creamy with a slight citrus note in the finish. For me, not much changes in the scent after the first few hours. I don't find the sillage and longevity that impressive, but I don't think it should necessarily be any different as a spring/summer scent. It fits perfectly into the non-intrusive image of Gabrielle.
It suits any woman, younger or older, in my opinion. "Gabrielle Forever" to me is a fragrance I can wear as a 19 year old, as a 30 year old or even at grandmother age. If I had to describe Gabrielle in one word it would be "Timeless" and that is why it is so special to me, because I see myself wearing this scent at every stage of life.
