The AXE of the adult man
Maybe a bit unfair for the title. But that thought came to me first while testing.
Do you know those fresh/citrusy shower gels, often in orange, yellow, turquoise, light green, or red from the drugstore for men? That's how PDM's Layton smells to me. Delicious, fresh, and usually a bit too much of everything.
A jumble of fruits, flowers, and lavender. Which is not negative, but for me personally, it's definitely not so overwhelmingly positive that I could understand a second place for men on Parfumo.
I tested it once and haven't touched it since. Maybe I'll give it another chance in the summer.

Memories
The way the wood accompanies you throughout the entire journey of the fragrance is incredibly well done. The subordinate very spicy apple and the sweet vanilla fit perfectly together.
My grandmother loved to use incense sticks from a specific brand. The combination of that particular scent with her skin always captivated me when she hugged me. Alexandria II smells exactly like that.
At the end of last year, she passed away. When I was in a perfume shop shortly after and tested the fragrance, this scent brought me back to my childhood, and my grandmother embraced me once again. Thank you so much for that.

Love and Fascination from the Bottle
Top 5 on Parfumo, hyped for a long time and a more than well-known name. Sooner or later, you can't avoid having heard the name "Imagination."
I experienced the same, but since you can usually only try the perfume directly at LV, I didn't get the chance to test it. So, when I was at the gym and caught a whiff of this scent, I had no idea what it was. The fruity freshness vaguely reminded me of BDK GC. After I had only half-heartedly gone through the next three sentences, I had no choice but to ask. "Imagination by LV, but I have a dupe from Kazaar that smells just the same," was the answer.
Surprised and fascinated, I ordered a 30ml bottle of the alternative while still at the gym. Two days later, the perfume arrived. From the first spray, I was captivated by the combination of tea, ginger, and bergamot. I was in love and sprayed the scent multiple times a day. Unfortunately, the alternative didn't last very well, and I was especially curious about what the original could offer. True to my word, I was in the LV store in Cologne three days later. A bit biased, I entered the store and was pleasantly surprised by the friendly reception. Not even 10 minutes later, I was back on the street with a sample in hand. And what can I say, the opening is indeed similar. But then you notice a significant difference. The Imagination is deep, diverse, and sooo brilliant. First, a citrusy bergamot slaps you in the face. But after just a few seconds, this subsides, and a combination of sharp ginger with slightly spicy cinnamon-ambrox joins in. A multifaceted aquatic with the best tea note I know.
I bought it for my 25th birthday, and it has become one of my absolute favorites; that's why I try not to wear it too often. But every time I do, I enjoy the opening, the development, and the dry down.
Even though it shouldn't be a criterion, I have never received so much positive feedback for a scent. Really, every time I wear it, several women comment on it and love the fragrance.

Spicy Honey with Floral Notes
I have heard so much positive feedback and once again realize how often my taste is quite different from what the general public likes.
I understand that this perfume appeals to many. Essentially, PDM offers great creations with mostly very good performance. But unfortunately, the scents almost never resonate with me. In terms of the fragrance notes, I would even consider a blind buy here, but thankfully I did not do that. The super pronounced honey note unfortunately ruins the opening for me, and once that settles, the floral notes only remind me of soap. Grandma's hand soap BUT in a bar. Somehow okay but also somehow too much in the long run. Not bad in some way but also, above all, not good...

Nutty Cappuccino with a Cigarette
Best regards to @VKING and his review.
I'm sitting here in front of the PC with the tester in hand. I keep alternating between smelling the sample and my wrist, going through the fragrance notes. Thoughtfully, I scroll down to my review and read a headline: "The nutty cappuccino to spray on."
And yes, that's exactly it. The spice of the coffee combined with the creaminess of the milk, the sweetness of the sugar, and maybe a breeze carries a hint of sandalwood from somewhere. A pleasantness arises, which, however, disappears within a few seconds with a puff from a cigar. This slight tobacco note, which is not supposed to be part of the DNA at all, makes the perfume super interesting for me. Tasty, slightly animalistic, and definitely masculine.
Unfortunately, not suitable for me, but for the right person, it must be incredible!
The sillage is slightly weaker than the longevity, but definitely still great! The longevity is superb!
