The 3-course dessert
Hello everyone!
First of all, I want to thank you for taking the time to read my second review on Parfumo. I have the fragrance on as SOTE today and thought I should write something decent again, what a fitting opportunity. Hope you like my review. Now let's get to the essentials.
How did the fragrance find me?
It was a regular weekend with plenty of perfume testing. As usual, I went to my trusted perfumery in the small town of Olten in Switzerland. I asked the saleswoman if she had the
Gris Charnel Eau de Parfum there. The EDP came first on the strip and this convinced me but I wasn't blown away, then it was the extrait's turn. Love at first sniff. Unfortunately, I didn't have the money to buy the fragrance at the time. I was looking for a good offer for about 8 months and in August 2024 I found an offer that I liked. After that, the fragrance moved into my home as quickly as possible. But what does this love at first sniff smell like?
The fragrance:
My impression of the fragrance is: you're in Paris, it's a mild, warm evening in the fall and it's date night. A French restaurant with an oriental influence that only serves desserts in 3 courses. The ambience is dark, soft and jazz noir is playing in the background. Now the first dessert is served.
The starter:
A spicy cardamom mousse with Mediterranean figs gives a nice spicy start that immediately envelops you and is very "full-bodied". There is also a cold black tea to whet your appetite and whet your appetite for more.
The main course:
An edible flower bed of cistus and iris is served as the main course, accompanied by a bourbon with earthy and smoky notes, which balances beautifully with the delicate and fine flower bed.
After the lovely conversation with the lady and a few more bourbon whiskeys, it just got better and better.
The dessert (the finale)
For me, the first impression counts but the last one is always the best. This was also demonstrated by the restaurant. To finish, we had a vanilla tart with Brazilian tonka beans on a fine sandalwood plate. Very soft and cuddly because the dessert made me addicted.
Conclusion:
I described the fragrance as very dark and seductive, but for me it is very versatile and I could also wear it every day. Since
Gris Charnel Extrait is very pleasing for everyone. It is a masterpiece for a date or generally for the evening, definitely in my top 3 for this category. The bottle is very elegant as is the packaging. I find the sprayer good but not outstanding. As far as the price is concerned, the fragrance is fair. 250 euros for such a masterpiece is just right - many brands could take a leaf out of its book.
I just love the fragrance, it always works even though it's not a freshie. For me a definite buy recommendation! Not a blind buy but definitely worth a test.
If you've arrived here, then I'm glad that my ramblings about
Gris Charnel Extrait were of some interest to you. Have a nice evening!
