Summer in a Bottle
For me, Portraits of Portofino is one of the most beautiful summer fragrances that I currently have in my collection. It starts off really fruity with a burst of mandarin, bergamot, and lemon. The great thing about it is that this citrus note doesn’t vanish immediately but remains pleasantly refreshing in the background throughout the entire development. Later, floral and woody notes come into play, which gives the fragrance a very clean overall impression.
No matter if it’s storming or snowing outside, as soon as I spray it on, I instantly get that feeling of summer, sunshine, and Italy by the sea. It fits any time of day in summer, whether in the morning at the office or in the evening when going out. The bottle also looks extremely high-quality, and you can really tell that Birkholz, as a German brand, focuses on quality here.
As for longevity: it lasts a bit above average for me. I sometimes don’t understand the criticism, because you shouldn’t expect 24-hour performance from such a citrus-heavy perfume. However, for what it is, it performs really well.
By the way, if someone wants to test the fragrance DNA without spending so much money, I can recommend Turathi Blue by Anfnan.

Warm Spice with Endurance
After waiting forever for the opportunity to test Khaltat Night, I finally managed to catch it at Douglas recently. The test on paper was already very convincing, but on the skin, the fragrance really comes alive. What impressed me immediately: the reaction from those around me was almost instantaneous. The scent is immediately noticeable and was extremely well-received by my fellow humans.
The cherry, which many emphasize, is more of a starter for me. You notice it primarily at the beginning, but it quickly becomes subtle and remains rather quiet in the background.
The real star is this dense, warm spice. This is a true chunk of a fragrance that fits perfectly in winter, but you really have to be careful when spraying because the performance is impressive. On my skin, it lasts easily all day, and on clothing, it even lingers for days.
The bottle is also a real highlight and looks super high-quality on the shelf. Even though it is often listed at a higher price, it’s worth waiting until you can get it for a relatively good price.

One of the most beautiful fig scents
Philosykos has been on my wish list for a long time, and now it’s finally in my collection!
Although I was aware of its longevity, I still decided to go for it. Why? Because I have reached a point in my perfume journey where I am okay with a scent not accompanying me all day; where, alongside all my “Beast Mode” fragrances that cling to me even the next day, I also want something light and short-lived; because I simply want to enjoy the scent for the moment and not extract the maximum from it.
The EdT is pure fig… anyone who has ever smelled a fig tree will immediately know what I mean: from the fruit, to the leaves, to the fig wood - you truly get the whole tree here. And this scent reminds me of my childhood in the south, where fig trees can be found on every corner and the smell lingers in the air during summer.
I consciously chose the EdT and not the EdP because the coconut (although not listed, but I personally smell it) bothered me in the EdP, and the whole fragrance took on too creamy a direction.
Where and when can I imagine wearing this scent, or where would I wear it? On vacation or in the summer evenings when you’re out with friends and just want to smell pleasant. But also on colder days when you want to feel a bit of summer on your skin. Or like me: when you simply want to indulge in memories of the beautiful summers of the past.
Despite the longevity, I think this scent deserves a chance - I believe many will not regret it.

Sweet, heavy, special - but no longer a hidden gem
Khamrah was actually the first fragrance from Lattafa that made me discover my passion for heavy, sweet scents. Hard to describe - it is extremely sweet, warm, and spicy, with a lot of presence. And no, it is not an alternative to Angels Share by Kilian, not even close.
After almost two years in my collection, it has developed beautifully: still strong, but noticeably more balanced and rounded than at the beginning.
For me, this is a fragrance for cold days or special occasions, as it can quickly become too intense.
Due to social media and the fact that many large perfumeries now carry it, you unfortunately smell it too often (especially among younger audiences and sadly even in the height of summer) - this has diminished its uniqueness a bit.
Nevertheless, it remains one of the most beautiful fragrances from Lattafa for me and has a permanent place in my collection.

High-Quality Synthetics
Hayaati Gold Elixir really surprised me positively. A beautiful fruity-leathery scent that, in my opinion, fits every season. Although it is officially marketed as a women's fragrance, I find it absolutely unisex - it works just as well on a man.
The opening is a bit synthetic, but that quickly fades. After that, a pleasantly warm, noble scent develops, which seems and smells surprisingly high-quality for the price.
Longevity and projection are top-notch; some expensive designer fragrances could take a lesson from this.
Overall, a fragrance that shows that good performance and elegance don't have to be expensive.
