As a newcomer to the community, I ask for your understanding that my first review may not be as flowery, almost poetic. But I will do my best and promise to improve :-)
First, the positives:
Elysium pour Homme Eau de Parfum is undoubtedly a masterfully composed fragrance. I got to smell it for the first time at a friend's place and was immediately captivated. The first few minutes are absolutely enchanting. A perfect balance of fresh citrus notes, which I generally love and prefer. The scent feels luxurious and refined.
Without much hesitation, I immediately ordered the 100 ml bottle. As soon as it arrived, I unwrapped it with great anticipation and sprayed it on. Again: The fragrance enchants, especially the fresh citrus notes that I adore. But then came the devastating reality check. The sillage completely disappears after a maximum of 20 minutes, and the scent is only perceptible up close in an extreme cuddle mode.
Frustration sets in; my first review on parfumo is devastating: Sillage 1 out of 10, Longevity 1 out of 10, Price-Performance 1 out of 10. Naturally, frustration leads to curiosity! What is wrong here? Why this experience? The research begins.
I learn what anosmia is and what the ISO-E-Super molecule is. According to the GC/MS analysis (Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry), the ISO-E-Super molecule is one of the main components of "Elysium pour Homme (Eau de Parfum) | Roja Parfums," making up 150 out of 1000 parts. However, Roja only lists the poetic fragrance notes. Grapefruit and bergamot simply sound better than ISO-E-Super. The synthetic ingredients like ISO-E-Super (150 parts), Hedione HC (260 parts), Helvetolide (125 parts), and Ambroxan (120 parts) are omitted in the marketing-oriented listing.
And I learn: Sillage and longevity are probably, as described by other users, very good. Only my brain completely ignores ISO-E-Super after a few minutes. What a shame! But it also explains why, despite the amount sprayed, I can't smell anything while people around me are fainting due to shortness of breath.
My conclusion: I stand by it.
Elysium pour Homme Eau de Parfum is a masterfully composed fragrance! The money is not wasted; the perfume is of high quality and smells fantastic. Perhaps one is just unlucky and belongs to the group of people who have a natural scent blindness to ISO-E-Super. Then one uses the perfume not for oneself, but for others.
My tip: Get a sample of
Molecule 01 and experiment with it. Then you'll quickly notice how you react to ISO-E-Super and whether you can work with it.
