Lovely rose oud
This is a very resinous rose oud to my nose, with absolutely lovely airy rose petals, mild clean oud, very warm spices, and resinous sweetness. I adore this scent. A lot of rose ouds, that incorporate some kind of sweetness, like going the raspberry route, which has been done to death, this is, on the other hand, a different take on the genre. Whenever I catch a whiff of this I get the image of rose petals with sweet spice-infused droplets of simple syrup sitting on a log of wood.

One of favorite scents so far
My first time going around in stores and smelling niche perfumery I discovered this scent. It was among very few standouts from that trip, but didn't think too much of it until the day after, the testing strip smelled divine. Got around to trying it on skin eventually, and the musk put me off, it was a bit animalic, almost kind of pissy. After going back and fourth, wearing it over 15 times, I finally decided to buy a full 100ml bottle. It really grew on me. It is a very balsamic, warm, fuzzy almost fur esque, slightly spicy and powdery vanillic. People usually either get a lot of cloves or cinnamon from this, I personally get a mix. This is not a super linear frag, it changes quite a lot and it does so slowly. After about 1.5 hours of wear the scent will become less powdery and more ambery, the animalics get dialed back and it becomes almost gourmand. Very balsamic smooth and warm.

Thoughts on The Night
I'm not sure I understand what people mean when they say that this is very animalic banyardy. I mainly get clean medicinal oud, incense, creamy sandalwood, kind of a patchouli esque facet that might just be from the oud, rose and a hit of raspberry sweetness. It's quite dark, befitting its name. Would recommend using very small sprays of this as it's quite potent. I have about 1/5th of a spray on my wrist atm, and it feels very appropriate.
