Toilet stone or masterpiece ?
First of all, if you like perfumes with a linear progression, you better stop reading here and keep looking.
This fragrance begins in a fresh but very classic way.... Which in turn will probably put many off.... This is where the much-mentioned toilet stone comes into play.
But, the fragrance has a terrific scent progression... Only around 15 minutes after spraying it on, the transformation begins and the fragrance takes on very modern traits.
The first thing you notice is that the fragrance becomes spicy sweet.... I even imagine I can smell a hint of cinnamon.
Don't get me wrong, this is a fresh summer fragrance.
You can see what I mean, it's a complex fragrance.... Not a linear designer freshie.
I think petigrain and tonka bean are the secret of the fragrance here.
The fragrance has a warm spicy sweet DNA, and at the same time a very clear fresh aura.
Honestly, I've never smelled anything like it.
Even after 8 hours, when the tonka / vanilla gets stronger and stronger, the fragrance still remains fresh.... Quite unique in my opinion.
Lasts on the skin... Easily 8 hours.
Sillage always present, but never overwhelming.... It is a rather light fragrance in terms of DNA.

The aura of a gentleman
To say it right away, it was my first Xerjoff fragrance.
I now have 5.
A really expensive blind purchase... And everyone knows the slight nervousness before the first spray.
First sniff the atomizer carefully.
For me, the first test was a real shock.
Very floral, fruity and sweet, with a slightly bitter and sour fresh note... Very feminine overall.
And I immediately thought...how do I get rid of it now, and with how much loss?
But.... I gave it time, and what can I say, this fragrance develops an incredibly elegant aura that I have never smelled before.
It has both spicy and woody nuances.
In addition, a slightly creamy vanilla note.
But always remains fresh enough for temperatures around 20 degrees.
Almost a year-round fragrance for me.
Definitely Beast Mode in terms of durability.
I sprayed it on my wrist in the evening after showering, 24 hours later before showering it was still projecting.
So it easily lasts 24 hours.
The sillage is strong, but never overwhelming.
A really great and very high-quality smelling perfume.
Nothing needs to be said about the presentation.... It really is second to none.

Sea breeze? Salt? Honey? Summer Freshie???
Honestly, I've never heard so much nonsense about a fragrance. (both here and on YouTube)
After the almost outstanding reviews.... Especially since it's supposed to be an extraordinary summer fragrance, I ordered it blindly.
Sea breeze, salt and honey sounded really exciting.
And what did I get?
In my opinion, a cheeky copy of the currently best rated unisex fragrance from Dior, namely Ambre Nuit.
Don't get me wrong, I love Ambre Nuit, I currently have a 7.5ml miniature bottle of this fragrance.
Only the poor performance kept me from buying the 125 ml.
Now to this fragrance here.
For me it is a warm spicy, sweet amber fragrance.... Which has a lot of similarities with Ambre Nuit.
After about 2 hours, it even becomes quite difficult to tell them apart.
The 40 Knots is really just a touch fresher, with a distant, very subtle aquatic note.... As well as a very classy, naturally fragrant hint of cinnamon.
Honey or salt.... Or whatever else I don't smell here.
In terms of performance, however, it is worlds better than the Ambre nuit.... Which degrades massively after just 2-3 hours for me.
The 40 Knots easily lasts 8-10 hours, and also projects more strongly.
The most annoying thing for me is that I was looking forward to an extraordinary summer fragrance.
This fragrance is only wearable in spring.
To be honest, I didn't want to wear it when it was over 20 degrees.

Kind-hearted....
What kind of blind purchase did I make.
The first thing that came to my mind after spraying it on was a 70-year-old tanned playboy with a gold chain who wants to stand out at all costs
Very spicy and woody, with an almost sultry, powdery sweetness
And I just thought so.... For heaven's sake.... You definitely don't want to smell like that.
But then I gave it a chance and gave it some time to develop.
And what can I say, this old man fragrance DNA disappears from my skin after about 25 minutes.... And what emerges is a warm, spicy, extremely cozy, masculine men's fragrance.
Definitely exceptional.....
Nevertheless, I advise against a blind purchase..... Better to test it on the spot and give it some time.
The longevity is unfortunately very modest for a Tom Ford fragrance....After about 5 hours it's over.
Sillage is intense for the first 30 minutes.... But settles down to a pleasant level after the transformation.
PS.
This fragrance in a ratio of 2 (noire) to 1 (noire extreme) results in something downright extraordinary.

My first Tom Ford
The performance is really impressive for a body spray.
Lasts easily 8 hours.... And the sillage is also good.
Now to the fragrance.
For me, it's a very smooth, slightly spicy / oriental vanilla fragrance.... Nothing more and nothing less.
Had honestly expected more.... But at 40 euros for 150ml you can't complain.
I'll probably try a few more of these body sprays from Tom Ford
Price / performance is really top.
