My Hotel Room
Once you have immersed yourself in the world of fragrances, it is hard to come back out. At least when the desire has taken hold to find the perfect scent or to create the perfect collection. I have spent a lot of money on samples. My search is over for now. I have never written a comment on this platform, but if any fragrance deserves it, then this one does. I am not sure how well I will manage to describe what has captivated me so much. I will just give it a try.
Professionally, I travel a lot, and therefore I spend many nights in hotel rooms. For me, hotel rooms are special places. I never enter a hotel room without grinning. For me, it is pure luxury to have a double bed all to myself. When I travel alone, I usually sleep in dormitories and am surrounded by 5-10 people. Going to bed alone in a double bed after work is something special. At the same time, you also know that you won't be there forever. Cargo Nuit embodies this feeling for me. A comforting, clean warmth. Like a sauna, like the warm socks my mother always gave me when I came home from sledding in winter. At the same time, there is something off-putting, something cold, sterile. Just like the bed in the hotel room, which is too white, too clean, too beautiful. It makes you aware that it is not your bed at home. That may sound a bit negative at first, but it evokes an incredible fascination in me. That is exactly how I want to smell.
If one were to only sleep in hotel rooms, this smile on my lips might eventually fade. And that is also the great fear with this fragrance. I have sprayed about 8ml of my 10ml sample over the past 2 years. I only allow myself a spritz on the wrist for special occasions. Only when I know that I have the time to truly enjoy the scent. In the hope that the special allure never fades. (Besides, I don't have 300€ for the full size anyway.)
