Rose Signature
Eau de Protection does not do very well here, which I cannot understand.
On me the fragrance shows many facets and is wearable in so many situations that I consider it worthy of a signature.

But what can Eau de Protection (EdP) do now?
- First of all the name is ingenious! You have a difficult meeting coming up, where you want to appear serious and tough? You want to have a slightly cool shield? Go for EdP!
- You have a dinner date and would like to wear an attractive rose patchouli without smelling of grave? Thorny green and fresh enough for sensitive noses? EdP is your solution!
- The weather is neither good nor bad, somehow grey and drizzly? EdP wraps you up in a metallic veil of roses with some powdery cocoa far in the background - enough to get you through the day. And with a scent that keeps you awake

EdP is not a rose club, not an Oriental. It's not a blanket, but rather has the warm, cool texture of blood. It plays with its bipolarity and does it masterfully!

"My" fragrance of wonder
I owned two bottles of the original Eau des Merveilles because I was so fascinated by the fragrance: orange and sand, sea aroma and cedar wood, fresh yet deep... But there was always something about the original that bothered me. The scent seemed a bit too serious and melancholic to me. I never wanted to wear it in sunny weather, but always only in grey clouds and rain. Even sociable rounds did not get along well with the fragrance. Instead of smelling of beach party and sunshine, I had lonely hours of brooding at the dark, cloudy sea.

The Elixir des Merveilles was my hope to fill the original with sweetness and life. Several times I was tempted to buy a bottle. The top notes were wonderful, a beautiful sweet orange. But the rest remained sweet and pleasing, I suddenly missed the depth of the Eau des Merveilles.

Even L'Ambre des Merveilles did not give me what I wished for. Contrary to the absolutely ingenious fragrance idea of salty orange caramel, there was always something artificial in the fragrance on my skin. Also this version was far from the original scent.

I haven't tested the Eau des Merveilles Bleue, but recently I stumbled upon the new L'Ombre des Merveilles. And there it was - "my" Merveilles fragrance
The top notes are sweeter than in the original, making them more like the elixir. The dry aroma of the original Merveilles shines through quickly and accompanies the fragrance until the end. I can't make out incense, but I can make out a light teeny note with a piece of rock candy. At the same time I recognize the smell of warm sand and stones, the sea air has also been preserved. Compared to the Eau des Merveilles, however, L'Ombre doesn't make me pensive, but seems to be a more accessible reinterpretation overall. The corners and edges of the original have been rounded off and modernized, the character brightened up

I am glad that with this version I can now enjoy the originality of the Eau des Merveilles without being intimidated by its eccentricity. Christine Nagel has created a wonderfully round fragrance!

Pink Violet Nuclear Bomb
Expectation
A wonderfully woody violet, slightly powdery, somewhat playful through fruit, but by no means sweet. Noble and a complex fragrance for going out

What really happened
A violet pastille with fruit syrup spreads on my arm (only one sprayer!) and takes on nuclear proportions. It is sweet and pulsating. The scent is so intense that all other scent strips in my hand and test sprayers on the other arm are rolled over.
The fragrance seems strangely not grown up to me, it smells a little bit like child make-up for little girls. At the same time it is not youthfully playful, but somehow old-fashioned. This combination leaves me a bit perplexed, because I can't imagine who Misia could smell good on.

I ended up washing Misia off because he was just annoying me. The scent was quite linear and penetrating - the cute pink kid violet in the Chanel costume just wouldn't go away.

Maybe I would have liked the EdT better, but the EdP is definitely not for me
