Wutzelkrump
A few years ago, the German Language Council initiated the search for the most beautiful German word. It was primarily about a word, but much more about the conversation about language and the reasoning that accompanies the submitted word.
I fondly remember the most beautiful "children's word":
9-year-old Sylwan Wiese writes: "My favorite German word is 'Libelle' because I love words with the letter L and this word has three of them. The word somehow rolls off the tongue so easily. It just flows. But I also think that dragonflies flutter so beautifully, and you can see that in the word. The word makes you like these creatures from the very beginning and not be afraid of them.
If the creature were called 'Wutzelkrump' or something like that, it wouldn't be the same. I would love to know who came up with this word. That person must have been very kind. Because it's the friendliest word I know."
I was reminded of this word search when I found Lalibela among my samples. Lalibela - a beautiful name for a fragrance. And to some extent, the association with the dragonfly fits as well. The scent is iridescent, has many facets, is unusual, and fascinates.
But the lightness, the fluttering of the dragonfly is missing. The fragrance is opulent without being cloying and has a light heaviness, as is often found in oriental scents.
A beautiful, sunny autumn day suits Lalibela perfectly. On one side are the floral sequences, the rose, jasmine, orchid, the fruity aspect of coconut, and in the base, patchouli, incense, vanilla, woods that snuggle like a warming scarf and shield against the first autumn winds. I like fragrances that are rooted in an opulent base yet manage to float with a certain lightness. I enjoy this scent and am sure it won't just stay with this sample.

Finally, it's mine ...
... and indeed since yesterday. I won a sample of the fragrance some time ago, and since then it hasn't left my mind or nose.
I find it to be round and soft, subtle yet fresh. The latter is due to the very interesting pineapple that hovers above the rounded body and is consistently present. I have never smelled such a wonderfully fruity and authentic pineapple in any other fragrance.
The rest of the scent blends into a new whole, just as the allegory of the perfume craft intends to convey. I smell nature, but also the art that brings together and reshapes.
The packaging is great! A red-gold box in which the bottle nestles, elegant and noble, yet adorned with a playful manga character that adds a little wink.
In my opinion, this is the best Ineke fragrance so far.

The Big Bad Wolf ...
... is not so bad here after all. Instead, my first impression of this fragrance was that of a sunny forest clearing. Leaves rustle, the wind blows gently, and you stand right in the middle of it.
It's also lovely that you can trace the individual scent directions in this composition. The hazelnuts stand out clearly, then the woody licorice and the green elements ...
Personally, I wouldn't describe the fragrance as masculine. I think it smells excellent on women as well.

My favorite Bond ...
... this is what success smells like! I didn't know that before, but I'm happy to embrace it. Based on the name, I would have expected more freshness, more top notes. But not at all. The scent is gourmand (is that even an adverb?), rounded with a hint of fruit. My favorite ingredient is the plum. It gives this fragrance something truly special without being in the foreground.
The scent simply smells "delicious," and I've often been approached about it. The reactions to the mention of the name are already worth the purchase. (c:=

A very pleasant scent ...
... light, subtle, fruity, with vanilla, milk, and cereals. Everything very agreeable, comforting.
But that is also the weakness of the fragrance: no edges or corners, nothing that provokes.
But in the end, everything can go well or smell good, right?! Just a scent of a harmonious world and a safe home, perfect for lounging on the couch.
