This is my new favorite "My summer-skin but better" scent for the summer. I hunted down a decant because the notes immediately caught my attention and tempted me to trade. You feel like you’re sitting on a fluffy-creamy-sweet cloud, as if you’ve personally sprayed summer on yourself. Beautiful!
I was shocked to read here in the forum that this flanker has apparently been discontinued, and I feel like I bought the last bottle on this planet.

I find the shape of the bottle incredibly impractical, and it doesn’t sit well in the hand for spraying. Well, whatever, I can live with that.

Hm, how do I say it.
After nearly 2 years of brainwashing from all sides, with statements & reviews like: "This is the BEST vanilla scent" "You need this if you love vanilla" etc., a test was long overdue.

So there I finally sprayed it on my hand and my first thought was: "Aha, this is supposed to be a vanilla scent?"
For the first 2 hours, I can ONLY perceive leather, then ONLY incense. Vanilla? Meow meow meow? ... Just faint cricket chirping.

For leather fans and incense aficionados, the scent is surely a dream. I was briefly disappointed but immediately happy that I didn't buy the bottle blindly 1-2 years ago when the hype was at its peak. Blind buys, we don't do that (very often *lol*) honey.

Last autumn, I baked a tart because I had some chestnut puree left over and mixed the ingredients on a whim and to my liking. With the usual suspects: eggs, sugar, vanilla, chestnut puree, a bit of flour, and a coconut cream semolina pudding.
The result smelled exactly like this fragrance does. I only realized that today when I did another cross-over sniffing through my bottles.

I bought the bottle in 2018, just like that, because I needed a vacation scent for Bali. I don’t quite understand the hype around it, but to each their own. I will use up the bottle; the scent is nice and lasts well, but it’s not a repurchase candidate for me.

If you want to buy an expensive relative, I would recommend "Bal d'Afrique (Eau de Parfum) | Byredo."

Vienna. End of October, early afternoon, it’s raining.

On my way to the city center, I choose the path through the Belvedere Palace and cross the deserted palace garden. I hear the raindrops on my umbrella and snuggle my head into the large, soft scarf that keeps me warm in the early October chill. For me, autumn is the most beautiful season in my city. Melancholy and beauty so close together, merged with a seemingly weightless heaviness that I only feel here.
Emphasized by the most beautiful scent one can wear for this mood, I quietly hum the lovely melody: "Vienna, Vienna, only you alone, shall always be the city of my dreams..."

The spicy, light sweetness, with a subtle lactonic touch, makes this masterpiece for me. Not dark, not heavy, but soft and beautifully enveloping.

The scent envelops me like a fine silk dress. Creamy and vanillic blood orange gently fluffs around me without becoming dull. The fragrance is simply beautiful for summer, but also for any other season.

Sillage and longevity are very good. I especially like that the scent hardly changes on my skin and remains as lovely as it was at the beginning.

I could bathe in it.
