The "Perfect"
After so many positive comments, statements and reviews of Prada L'Homme I thought, nothing can go wrong with a blind purchase.

Some reviews have said that the "Water Splash", the latest bottle, smells similar and you can get it even if you don't own one of the series yet. However, the durability of the Water Splash didn't seem to be that good.

So I first looked for a souk of the Water Splash and had it sent to me. Sprayed on immediately, I thought "Wow, that's a really good smell!". Now of course I was curious how the Prada L'Homme smells, the "father" of the scent, and ordered it almost blind

I would have described myself - since I owned the Dior Homme Intense - as an "opponent" of iris fragrances. I always found iris to be an annoying note that took away my breath. However, as far as irises were concerned, I only had the Dior Homme Intense in my collection. So at the beginning I was really a little sceptical whether Prada L'Homme would work for me - because of the iris.

When the bottle arrived, I naturally sprayed it immediately on my forearm to test it.

The first impression was very sobering. "He smells so sweet." I like sweet scents. But that was just unexpected
A whole 10 seconds later, however, my opinion changed abruptly. "So there's the iris. "Wow. Not pushy like in Dior Homme Intense. I can still breathe!".
I was fascinated. The scent composition, perfectly balanced. A hint of sweetness at the beginning, fresh, iris - I was blown away!

Now it is so that you have to get used to some fragrances before you fall in love with them. With me and Prada L'Homme, I have worn the fragrance every day since I got it.

The fragrance suits every occasion. It is absolutely not obtrusive, it smells - as so many have aptly said - "clean", fresh and clean.

Now, of course, I like to have the fragrance evaluated by my environment and ask my friends and acquaintances my universally popular question "do you smell my perfume? What do you think of it?".

The reactions were very unexpected with this fragrance.

"What perfume? I smell nothing!" Was here the reaction I got the most often.

I had wondered if the fragrance really had such a bad sillage and was already panicking that it wasn't worth its money.
So I pulled out the bottle and sprayed a spray in the direction of my best friend.

"Do you smell that now?"
His answer: "Oh, that's the perfume that smells so good here! I thought it was from your laundry! It smells mega nice!".

Mega nice. Just the reaction I would have expected ;-)

The scent was generally very well received, provided it was recognized as such. Often my surroundings thought that it was my laundry that smelled so good.

All in all, I can say that Prada L'Homme is taking the place of my Layton, as I wear it every day now. It suits every occasion, just smells good, fresh, discreetly powdery and therefore doesn't rub off anywhere. In my opinion a fragrance that everyone should have smelled once!

Thank Prada for this masterpiece!

Companions of my youth
Well... Where do I start with this smell?

Joop Jump! Was pretty much one of the first fragrances I bought myself and got as a present again and again. I was 16 at the time.

At that time, like probably many at that age, I had only one thing on my mind: girls.
They wanted to look impressive, get attention and be the centre of attention in the ladies' world. It's not so easy at 16...

At that time, perfume was still a mystery to me that I never really understood. For me, it was just one of those things you have to wear on a date, nothing more. For example, I never understood why my father, my mother or even my sister had several perfumes at home and used them every day. For me it was clear that a perfume doesn't belong at school or at work

So the years passed, I turned 18, slipped into a new circle of friends. We met regularly during the week and every weekend. I started putting on my beloved Joop Jump! before we met. So before EVERY meeting.
Why?
I fell in love with a friend. And why was I wearing perfume at the time? Exactly. I wanted to stand out and be the center of attention

That's how I got noticed.
"You smell so good!"
"Whoa, what's that sexy perfume you got? You smell mega!"
and
"You always smell best of all of us"
These were not uncommon compliments. From then on, I used the scent in a very inflationary way.
He was always well received at that time and earned me a lot of compliments.

Whether this was due to the fresh-sweet combination of grapefruit and tonka bean ?
Or did it remind you of wild party nights by the smell of vodka and therefore just caused a "good feeling"?

Who knows...

The fact is: Whoever sprays too much of it takes away the air for others to breathe. The scent is (just at the beginning) very intense and not for tighter spaces.

Well, how about today?

I still have a bottle from that time on my shelf. Half-full.
I also sometimes catch myself smelling the spray head and sometimes allowing myself a spray on my arm - for old times' sake.

I would no longer wear this fragrance today (i.e. at 28). Somehow it doesn't suit me anymore and I can't imagine it on me.

Pity. I have received most compliments with this fragrance to this day, and so far not even a Layton or Aventus has been able to match it. Therefore I thank this fragrance for accompanying me through one of the most beautiful times of my life (and it was always a good companion!)

I used to like him...
At the beginning of my "perfume addiction" I liked this fragrance very much. It was a blind purchase and I had absolutely no idea about perfumes, scent pyramids etc. etc.

I liked the fragrance very much and I used it every day and at all occasions . whether at sports, in the office, for dates or just casual

The scent is definitely very sweet-fresh in the beginning, but later it turns into a synthetic sweetness, which I found very pleasant as an avowed fan of sweet scents, but meanwhile I find unbearable.

You might think "this guy likes Le Male and Cool Water Intense and now he's complaining about this sweetness?"
Yeah... My perfume collection has grown considerably in the last few years and my nose is a little more "trained".
That means: I still like simple fragrances and they can also be synthetic.
But I can't smell Invictus anymore. To me the scent looks "cheap", like a 10€ perfume from the drugstore (although that doesn't necessarily mean anything ;-) ).

I just can't get warm with the smell. There are much better alternatives with a better durability and silage, which I will definitely and always prefer to the Invictus.

It is not a catastrophic scent, just for me meanwhile simply nothing that evokes emotions.

Noble, powdery, heavy
A very powdery and noble fragrance. In the beginning I was totally deterred because it was too powdery for me, but in the drydown it gets better - the sweetness comes out and envelops you with a very pleasant scent.
Yet not an everyday scent, as it is simply too heavy to begin with. For me rather a fragrance for very special occasions (suit)
