Inspired by the Italian lifestyle of dolce far niente - the sweet art of doing nothing - evokes "Tulua" memories of a carefree summer on the Mediterranean: a sparkling opening of Amalfi lemon, green mandarin and Calabrian bergamot opens the fragrance with an invigorating citrus freshness. A creamy milk ice note unfolds in the heart, surrounded by sweet amber and floral hints of jasmine and magnolia. Finally, a warm base of cedarwood, vetiver and amber rounds off the fragrance journey and creates a sensual depth.
The creator of the unisex creation is master perfumer Christian Carbonnel aka Chris Maurice.
A partnership between Duftbunker and Kinetic Perfumes
"Tulua" is the result of the creative collaboration between the two minds behind the niche fragrance platform Duftbunker, Felice Di Maio and Timo Daus, and Kris Marciniak - the founder of Kinetic Perfumes.
The inspiration for the perfume came from the founders' attachment to Italy and its unique way of life. Their aim was to capture the essence of an unforgettable, endless summer - inspired by their travels through the country and the scents that surrounded them there. From the fresh aroma of ripe citrus fruits to the creamy sweetness of freshly whipped cream in a gelateria and the salty sea breeze - Christian Carbonnel allowed the sensual impressions to flow into the composition.

How did the collaboration between Kinetic Perfumes and Duftbunker come about? What values connect you?
Kris Marciniak, founder of Kinetic Perfumes, and I have known each other for years - brought together by Christian Carbonnel, who recognized our potential early on. We have a deep friendship and a blind trust that goes far beyond a business relationship. With the founding of the fragrance bunker at the beginning of 2024, our collaboration became even more intensive - and now you can even smell it.
Why does the Amalfi lemon play a central role in "Tulua"?
The Sfusato Amalfitano is a symbol of my Italian roots. In addition to its fresh acidity, it has a mysterious sweetness - the heart of a real limoncello. Its combination with Gelato al Fior di Latte gives TULUA its unique character.
What was it like working with Christian Carbonnel?
Christian and I have been talking intensively about perfume for a long time. When TULUA was born, it was a natural progression of our conversations. Thanks to our trust, the process was uncomplicated - but full of exciting surprises.
What memories of Italy inspired "Tulua"?
For all of us, Italy means carefree summers, sun-ripened fruit, endless beaches, delicious food and vibrant culture. We wanted to capture these emotions in TULUA - the Dolce Vita in fragrance form.
Why as a limited edition?
Kinetic Perfumes is developing into an all-black flacon design. But TULUA should be special - in terms of color, olfactory and visual appeal. The limited edition underlines this unique character.
