An Ode to an Italian Spa: “Tempio d'Acqua” by Casamorati

An Ode to an Italian Spa: “Tempio d'Acqua” by Casamorati

With “Tempio d’Acqua”, Casamorati presents a floral-fruity unisex fragrance inspired by the historic Thermae Berzieri thermal baths near Parma.

Nestled in the hills not far from Parma, Italy, lies a natural spa that is an architectural masterpiece. It was designed to connect people with the healing powers of nature—and to remind them of its lush beauty.

Depictions of blooming flora and fauna, interspersed with Greek goddesses, adorn the interior walls in a harmonious blend of Art Nouveau, Art Deco, and Far Eastern influences. Colorful stained-glass windows filter the sunlight, and delicate floral motifs lend an additional sense of tranquility to the already relaxing atmosphere.

“Tempio d'Acqua” opens with a fruity peach note, accompanied by fresh bergamot and mandarin. The heart features notes of aromatic fennel, floral Mahonial®, and resinous rockrose. Finally, the base notes bring together creamy vanilla and the smoky, spicy nuances of myrrh, carried by the balsamic warmth of ambroxan.

Thermae Berzieri as a source of inspiration

The Eau de Parfum was inspired by the Thermae Berzieri, a historic spa in Salsomaggiore, Italy. The building combines elements of Art Nouveau and Art Deco and embodies the fusion of architecture and nature.

“Tempio d’Acqua” (meaning “Water Temple”) captures the atmosphere of this place and translates it into a scent—as an interpretation of a retreat that embodies relaxation and a connection to nature.

About Casamorati

Casamorati traces its origins to a perfume factory founded in Bologna in 1888 by Claudio Casamorati. The company gained international recognition early on for its perfumes and bath products and has received numerous awards.

After closing due to financial difficulties in the mid-20th century, the brand was revived by Xerjoff in 2009. Today, the label draws on its Art Nouveau heritage and translates it into modern fragrance creations.

The new fragrance is available in a 100-ml bottle.

can we as parfumo users choose to not promote brands that use ai slop in their marketing?

I haven’t seen any of the marketing for this yet. Where can I see it? IG? That’s disappointing if they are.

Appears so. We have to continue to call out the brands that do this publicly so they stop thinking they’ll get away with it. 🤦‍♀️
