The fragrance opens with a mix of refreshing mint and lavender, which combine to create an invigorating prelude. In the heart note, sensual benzoin and creamy vanilla marry to create a warm and sweet fragrance bouquet. The base note is dominated by a tonka bean note and the light smokiness of tobacco and rounded off by a delicate honey note.

"Le Mâle Elixir" is a more concentrated version of the popular sweet-oriental fragrance "Le Mâle (Eau de Toilette)" from 1995.

Behind the French brand Jean Paul Gaultier is the designer himself, born in France in 1952. His career in fashion began in the 1970s, when he worked for Pierre Cardin. In the 1980s, he founded his own label and quickly became known for his avant-garde designs and provocative approach. In 1993, he introduced the first feminine fragrance, "Jean Paul Gaultier," which is now sold under the name "Classique (Eau de Toilette)". His first men's fragrance followed just two years later.
