"Orchid" by Franck Boclet: The Essence of Orchid and Sweet Vanilla

The French fashion house releases "Orchid", a warm new unisex fragrance, that combines the qualities of fleshy orchid flowers with the enveloping sweetness of vanilla.

In the top note, refreshing neroli and juicy Williams pear merge into a sparkling mix. The heart of Egyptian jasmine absolute, vanilla and orange blossom absolute exudes a sweet, enticing note. Finally, the fragrance is completed by a warm, creamy accord of ambroxan, iris butter and musk.

The composition was created by Alexis Dadier.

Since the vanilla bean comes from an orchid flower (planifolia), I naturally combined the two in this perfume. I wanted to illustrate the fleshy petals of the orchid as well as its delicate outline, combined with the enveloping sweetness of a generous vanilla.

"Orchid" is the new member of the "Fragrance" collection. Franck Boclet describes the range as a subtle and elegant line that includes exceptional perfumes with a unique sillage. Launched in 2012, the line now consists of 24 perfumes, each available in 100ml bottles. Most recently, the woody-spicy fragrance "Café" enriched the collection in 2019.

Each fragrance thus offers a signature and exceptional remanence, with each of the compositions highlighting a main fragrance note that is sublimated by a series of notes to lead to an exceptional accord.

Behind Franck Boclet is the designer of the same name. Franck Boclet was born in France and grew up in a family that worked in the textile industry. His parents owned a knitwear factory and he also developed a passion for fashion and design at an early age.

Before founding his own design house in 2010, Boclet worked with well-known designers such as Kenzo, Arrow, Francesco Smalto and Ungaro in the 1980s. His label specializes in menswear, offering high-quality clothing, accessories and fragrances. The designs of Franck Boclet are known for their edgy, masculine and rebellious appeal that fuses tradition and anarchy.

The new fragrance is available in a bottle size of 100 ml.
