Hazel and Evolution: A Fragrance Journey Through Gravel's Milestones

"Hazel" and "Evolution": A Fragrance Journey Through Gravel's Milestones

The New York fragrance brand presents its new unisex creations: the green-spicy fragrance "Hazel" and the spicy-powdery fragrance "Evolution". Both fragrances take you on an olfactory journey reminiscent of the story of Gravel.

Hazel

This exclusive fragrance was created by Michael Knudsen, founder of GRAVEL, for Hazel Guggenheim, who helped him realize his vision of a perfume brand. High production costs prevented conventional marketing in the 1960s, so it was bottled only for "special" customers. Each bottle is still carefully bottled by hand.

Gravel

"Hazel" offers a refreshing and fruity top note of mandarin, lime and bergamot. The heart of the fragrance unfolds floral notes of ylang-ylang, iris, fig leaf and neroli, before a warm and sensual accord of musk, vetiver and tonka provides the finishing touch.

Evolution

This elegant fragrance marks the next step in GRAVEL's EVOLUTION. The first perfume not based on a historic formula by Michael Knudsen, it embodies the reincarnation of a brand with almost seven turbulent decades of fragrance history, which has nevertheless always remained true to its faithful vision.

Gravel

"Evolution" opens with a fruity-fresh top note of raspberry, ginger and orange, which exudes a refreshing lightness. A touch of aldehydes also gives the fragrance a pleasantly clean and soapy nuance. Then unfolds a sensual heart note of orange blossom, jasmine and tuberose, which is rounded off by a warm base of amber, guaiac wood, tonka bean and vanilla.

Gravel
The fragrance brand Gravel was founded by Michael B. Knudsen in New York. He traveled from Europe to America to realize his dream of his own perfume house. In 1957, the first men's fragrance "Gravel - A Man's Cologne" was finally introduced. Since the first sale of the perfume on 46th Street in New York, the bottles have become truly unique, as each of them is finished with pebbles (gravel) from the Hudson River. The fragrances bear names like "46th Street" and "Gravel - American Dream" to reflect important milestones in the history of Gravel and Knudsen.

The fragrances are available in bottle sizes of 100 ml.
