Scented Worlds of Emotion: Charlotte Tilbury's First Fragrance Collection

With its first fragrance collection, British cosmetics brand Charlotte Tilbury takes you on an olfactory journey through six different emotions.

Inspired by Charlotte Tilbury's fascination with the emotional impact of fragrances, each of the six unisex fragrances is designed to capture and enhance a specific emotion: love, happiness, passion, energy, self-confidence and serenity.

Love Frequency - Love and security 

Driven by modern rose and warm cashmere wood, this fragrance is floral, soft and mesmerizing. It's that all-encompassing, comforting feeling of being in love and being loved.

"Love Frequency" was created by Anne Flipo as an ode to love. It opens with the spicy freshness of pink pepper, followed by a floral-sweet heart of Rose Essential™ and Rose Ultimate Extract™, enveloped by the warm and spicy nuances of saffron. A base of amberwood and cashmere wood, enhanced by musk and patchouli, provides a spicy, woody, earthy finish.

Joyphoria -  contentment and happiness

You feel  transported to paradise thanks to ylang ylang and vanilla pod. Like a golden ray of sunshine, it is balsamic, warm and radiant with neroli, coconut water accord, warm jasmine and tuberose. Described as "paradisiacal happiness".

"Joyphoria", also created by Anne Flipo, is designed to create feelings of happiness. The fragrance opens with a fresh, sweet and fruity top note of coconut water, petitgrain and neroli, followed by a sweet and floral heart of jasmine sambac, tuberose abolsue and ylang-ylang. The composition is rounded off with a warm, creamy-sweet base of cashmere wood, musk and vanilla.

More Sex -  Passion and Lust 

Described as sensual and seductive, the magnetic fragrance has a captivating chemistry driven by a 'sexual accord', musk and leather - a carnal delight that feels like a rush of pure passion.

Anne Flipo created "More Sex" to capture the sensual sensations of seduction and devotion. The fragrance journey begins with an aromatic, spicy top note of black pepper and juniper berries, which then transitions into a warm, animalic heart of Aldron®, ambroxan, leather and musk. The composition is rounded off with woods, musk and the sweet, balsamic note of New Caledonian sandalwood.

Cosmic Power - strength and self-confidence

This fragrance is meant to be a shield of strength and hopes to boost your confidence and invigorate your drive so you can truly shine.

"Cosmic Power", created by Dominique Ropion, is intended to embody inner strength and self-confidence. The fragrance opens with aromatic, spicy top notes of bergamot, elemi resin and black pepper. A balsamic-spicy, sweet bouquet of Rose Ultimate Extract™ and incense unfolds in the center, anchored by a warm, creamy-sweet accord of amber, musk and vanilla.

Magic Energy - Energy and grounding

Like a burst of energy, you feel transported to a green enchanted forest and grounded, with earthy myrtle oil and energizing marine essence. It replenishes the purity of nature to feel energized and grounded.

"Magic Energy", composed by perfumer Juliette Karagueuzoglou, is designed to provide an energy boost. The fragrance journey begins with a fresh, spicy top note of bergamot and myrtle. At the heart, the sweet aroma of jasmine sambac combines with the salty-sweet essence of seaweed absolute and the spicy freshness of cypress, carried by a woody-warm base of amber, cashmere wood, palo santo and frankincense resin.

Calm Bliss - inner peace and serenity

Designed to soothe the senses and reflect the serene energy of the sea and lakes with lotus flowers! Relaxing lavandin oil and fresh bergamot oil transport us to a tranquil oasis where you can immerse yourself in a calming sensory experience!

Der letzte Duft „Calm Bliss“ wurde von Anne Flip kreiert und soll eine beruhigende, entspannende Wirkung entfalten. Die Komposition eröffnet mit Bergamotte, begleitet von süßem Neroli und der beruhigenden Präsenz des provenzalischen Lavendels. Darauf folgt ein florales, blumig-frisches Herz aus aquatischen Noten und zarter Orangenblüte Absolue. Zum Schluss sorgen Amber, Kaschmirholz, Palo Santo und Weihrauchharz für eine holzig-warme, süßliche Tiefe.

Die Düfte bestehen aus einer Kombination von synthetischen und natürlichen Rohstoffen, wobei die ätherischen Öle vegan bezogen werden.

The creation of the new fragrance collection

In an interview Charlotte Tilbury explained that the new fragrances contain 'emotion-stimulating molecules' that target the olfactory part of the brain, which is responsible for various emotional areas such as energy.

To develop the collection, the company worked with neuroscientists such as psychologist Céline Manetta and Arnaud Montet from IFF. They used the Scentcube™ algorithm, an AI designed to identify ingredient combinations or fragrance chords that work in synergy to enhance different aspects of each emotion.

The fragrances will be available from May 2 in 100 ml bottles.
