Mimara

With this fragrance it is extremely difficult for me to find the right words. Whereby it is in principle already hardly possible to convey a fragrance impression verbally. It can always only be a more or less vague approximation or paraphrase.

Nevertheless I would like to try it, because I find it very beautiful and special.

It's (my sensation):

complex, green, yellow, dark brown, woody, contradictory, light and dark at the same time, spicy, bitter, sweet, vegetable, natural, woody, smoky, serious, bulky, interesting, full of character, original, calming, peculiar, bold, deep, protective

He's like an odd, but friendly wood gnome.

I see this picture in front of me:

A deep enchanted forest with deciduous and coniferous trees;
thick moss cushions grow on old stones;
apart from the gurgling of a small stream, there is absolute, dense and tangible silence;
sunlight falls through the treetops and bathes the place in subdued green-yellow light;
it smells of damp wood and the aromatic forest soil;
the air is cool and fresh;
the mood is mystical and very peaceful.

I won't write anything about the individual notes, because the whole is far more than the sum of its parts. This is especially true for this creation.

The shelf life is very good. In the course of time it becomes rounder and sweeter, the beginning is quite harsh.

Now a second opinion, which once again shows how subjective our scent sensations are:

The colour red is lively, full of energy, radiates power.
She's cheeky, brave, provocative.
It attracts attention, attracts looks, fascinates.
It warms, awakens, activates.
It's extroverted and bold.
It can lift the mood and eroticize.

All that does also "Eau de Parfum Rouge".
With exactly the right intensity to be conspicuous but not intrusive.
With a very harmonious mixture of flowers, powderiness, very warm and soft musk and wood.

I'm thrilled!

The very beautiful musk stands like with the other Narcisos in the center. It looks very woody and warm and not synthetic or too clean like many other musk scents.
The cedar and violet notes support and reinforce the soft woodiness.
The flowers give the fragrance a fresh, cheeky and elegant side without being in the foreground.
A delicate sweetness pervades the whole, well dosed and never too much.

In the course of time the fragrance changes only slightly, the powdery woodiness becomes even stronger and the floraliness steps even more into the background.
Associations with make-up utensils arise. In a positive way, as if one (woman) was just freshly and beautifully made up.

When I wear the scent, I feel very feminine, chic and somehow "fancy".

It is used in the evening when going out. For warm or also cool summer evenings I find it super suitable. It remains to be seen whether it will also prove its worth in winter!

The durability is very good, on me "Eau de Parfum Rouge" is about 8 - 10 hours long well perceptible and the charisma becomes weaker only very late.
I think the bottle is very beautiful, minimalistic-elegant and harmonious. The thick glass looks high-quality and it is pleasant to use.

I always had great respect for the scents of Montale, not to say: fear of contact, because they have the reputation of being quite strong and opulent, and that is not my thing at all. In terms of mentality, I am also more the calm observer than the diva in the centre.

Now I have dared a test, and I must say, the caution was justified.
Oudmazing is already a clear statement, and that already with only one sprayer.

What I like about the fragrance is the combination of the different notes: There are sweet, bitter, tangy, fruity, floral, earthy, spicy, and of course oud. All in one, so to speak, and in roughly equal parts. I like that very much, it creates a balance between the poles and is always very interesting and not monotonous. (I also like to eat dishes that contain all flavours - sweet, sour, salty, hot, ... - not infrequently this preference meets with disbelieving head shaking... :D )
I also find the oud very beautiful here, because it is not as dominant as in many other scents, but the other notes are accompanied and grounded.

But overall the whole thing is too intense, overloaded, almost brute and exhausting (for me).

After wearing it for a long time I notice that the scent on me becomes more and more fruity (for me slightly pungent) and sweeter.
The oud, leather and patchoulin notes run out of air and can no longer compete with fruit salad.
So I like Oudmazing less and less, because the balance is lost and it becomes extremely sweet.
Together with the strong Sillage and durability really too much.

Only recommended for people who like strong, intense scents and who like to attract attention.
