The spirits I called...
I can’t get rid of... and in this case, that’s very good :)
I am a confessed bergamot junkie; I love almost everything that even remotely smells or tastes like it (Earl Grey tea, for example). And I have since my youth (almost since the time of the Kaiser...).
I have tested masses of bergamot fragrances, found many good ones, but I was repeatedly disappointed by their poor longevity :(
By chance, I received an original sample of Bergamask, and I could hardly believe it! It lasts! And lasts! And lasts! And it even lingers on the skin after a long, thorough shower! Unbelievable!
It is certainly a fragrance that strongly polarizes, but I (= classic) have received the most compliments for it, and when applied in the right dose (so here less = more), it is wearable in every season.
It is wonderfully unsweet, bitter, and fresh, yet has a certain warmth, a beautiful depth, and an unparalleled recognizability.
The scent is definitely not for delicate "girls" who prefer pink-powdery floral summer dresses, lip gloss, and frills... that would be like Godzilla with Chloé.
Bergamask is a statement, unique, and in my opinion, the most beautiful bergamot fragrance there is!
A big bow and red carpet for Alessandro Gualtieri... a thousand thanks!

Freshness, Sea, and Sun
Without high expectations (I have often been disappointed by descriptions), I ordered this AF, and then it sat around for a while. At some point, I sprayed it on casually and thought it was "quite nice." Since I had tested several other fragrances that day, the AF went into my "Test Again Box"... That was one of my best decisions... I sprayed it on yesterday and today, and I am blown away... Goodness, what a fantastic scent! Such a wonderful thought comes to my mind when I inhale it...
Cliff coast, covered with pines in the flat land above, warm sand between my toes, crickets chirping, a view of an endless sea, and so much tranquility... This is exactly what this fragrance expresses for me.
It is definitely moving in with me :)

Wow! What it can do!
At first, I had the (for me imperceptible) Molecule 01, which made my rather light summer fragrances a little more long-lasting... I found that quite exciting.
Thanks to a dear perfumer, I got to know Escentric 05 and I was really blown away :)
Applied on its own, it is wonderfully fresh and lightly woody, citrusy and subtle... Great!
Nevertheless, it actually lasts quite a long time and layered with floral scents, it is a dream.
I can't judge the combination with sweet fragrances, as I can't stand sweet scents, but I think it should provide a nice freshness kick :)
It is quite synthetic, but this wonderful freshness and brightness is perfect for me!
For me, it is THE summer fragrance, whether worn alone or layered :)
Definitely really, really great!

Finally!
When I first sniffed the fragrance from an AF, it immediately went into my "Test Again Box" because I wasn't sure if I had understood it correctly after trying a few other new scents.
Today was the day, so I sprayed it on and I can hardly stop "inhaling" it. Incredibly good!
The name "Marseille" is absolutely fitting, in my opinion.
I have been there once and I find it more than amazing how one can capture this city so well in a fragrance.
The scent conveys such a beautiful freshness of a wonderfully cool room in midsummer on the French coast. A freshly made bed with cool linen after a day at the beach. In a metropolis where the smell of salty air from the sea, sun, Mediterranean food, and simply life is always present.
The fragrance is so delightfully fresh, cooling, calming, soapy, and "clean," a true pleasure for me, and I have now bought it as well.
I already like it in the currently cool temperatures, but I look forward to when it helps me a little over the upcoming and scorching summer temperatures. And it will!
Finally, a fragrance that does NOT end in any sweetness... Simply fantastic!

Delightful Freshness
Recently, I purchased the sample set from M & G because I find the
Bergamot Eau de Parfum so wonderful.
When I sniffed this sample, it was already love at first scent... such a fresh yet warm-soft fragrance and finally one without sweetness or powder... I was smitten!
However, I have unfortunately already noticed that some scents that initially seem great to me do not turn out to be what I like at all, so I have worn it twice now and must say: it is (almost) perfect!
The "almost" refers only to longevity and sillage, but the scent itself is fresh, bright, and herbaceous for me, yet later warm and "embracing".... I would love to bathe in it :D
Please forgive me for not being able to document a scent progression, my nose is not really capable of that yet. For that, you should rely more on the aforementioned classification.
But I can only recommend this fragrance to any vetiver fan (who, like me, does not like sweetness), it is wonderful!
