Aromatic Greek Forest Experience

Molecule 05 emits a unique and captivating aroma of earth, warmth, herbs, and citrus that brings to mind a forest in Greece on a hot summer day. It opens with a woody, masculine, and dark scent, transitioning to a gentle and sweet citrus-floral scent. It's absolutely unisex. Performance is so-so.

I'd say, this fragrance is perfect for anyone looking for an aromatic, green, and earthy experience... that's a little different.

Electric Blue!

Makes no sense, but that's what this fragrance makes me think of - blue electricity. When you spray it on you, it's a fresh/blue smell but it also is vibrating and energized. Man, what a pleasant surprise! Got this as a sample when I bought Molecule 01 (which I bought to amplify freshies), but turns out 05 puts all the freshies, blue, and aqua scents I've tried to shame. Projection and longevity are a little better than average for those genres too. Dominant notes are juniper and orange, and the overall smell is basically a 50/50 mix of the two. Not sharp, but resonant, fresh, and still low-key. I'm gonna have to get this. It'll be perfect for frequent, daily wear during spring and summer.

Escentric 05 - Summer Dinner on the Patio

Escentric 04 and 05 are truly the highlights out of the original 10.

This one feels really joyous, celebratory even. It's like having a lovely outdoor dinner on the patio with all your friends during a warm summer evening. The sky is pink, there's string lights, maybe candles in votives, orange wine and fruit tarts. Perhaps it's the combination of orange, fig, and freesia, but this comes across as really fruity and sweet on my skin. I know it sounds so different from what everyone else is sharing, but I'm not getting the super green and forest-y vibe. It's not super "natural" and woody either, in the way an Aesop scent might be.

I admit I'm biased since I tend to like cashmeran, but the way it's used here is really beautiful and cozy. And I say cozy, not in the warm holiday sense of a fuzzy sweater in the snow, but cozy in the sense that it feels rich, voluminous, and familiar like a hug from a good friend.

I don't love the scientific look of the Escentric bottles, but this is one I really recommend.

Too sour and floral for a forest scent

At first, juniper and rosemary dominate the scent, it's almost too sharp for my taste, then laurel and white florals come through... Really not my kind of scent. This is very aromatic yet quite sour, and I do not get any woody notes on my skin, while the florals linger.

There are plenty of great forest scents out there, this one does not deliver, in my opinion.

Wow! What it can do!

At first, I had the (for me imperceptible) Molecule 01, which made my rather light summer fragrances a little more long-lasting... I found that quite exciting.
Thanks to a dear perfumer, I got to know Escentric 05 and I was really blown away :)
Applied on its own, it is wonderfully fresh and lightly woody, citrusy and subtle... Great!
Nevertheless, it actually lasts quite a long time and layered with floral scents, it is a dream.
I can't judge the combination with sweet fragrances, as I can't stand sweet scents, but I think it should provide a nice freshness kick :)
It is quite synthetic, but this wonderful freshness and brightness is perfect for me!
For me, it is THE summer fragrance, whether worn alone or layered :)
Definitely really, really great!
