Mother-in-law's favorite with a weakness for lemon cake and a subtle leather fetish
Now, I must admit - Cedrat Boise is not particularly extravagant or "niche" upon reflection. There is certainly room for debate about quality, batches, and how much synthetic material is acceptable in niche fragrances. However, subjective enjoyment is not up for debate.
And I like my Cedrat Boise! It was my first niche fragrance that I bought, and I’m glad I did!
At first, this scent starts off very citrusy and blackcurrant-heavy, fresh and pleasantly tart - some might even say biting. But once the top notes fade a bit and the creamy vanilla woodiness can come through, with the leather taking its place in the background like the "cool" classmate who always arrived late to school - it becomes a well-rounded, quite unique freshie with character and recognizability!
I particularly find that the creamy fruity component combined with the leather and patchouli gives it a certain "bad boy" character.
I especially enjoy wearing it in spring or on mild summer days (around 20-25°C); here it is, in my opinion, nearly unbeatable - longevity and sillage are quite good to very good for a freshie.
The compliment factor is also spot on (at least for me) - those who value this can rely on Cedrat Boise. :D
As for the comparison to Aventus - I cannot confirm that - at most, the top notes!
