Boulangerie am Morgen
Bei dem Parfum kommen bei mir direkt Kindheitserinnerungen hoch: Urlaub in Frankreich auf dem Campingplatz, irgendwo im nirgendwo in der Bretagne. Um 6 Uhr morgens macht die Boulangerie auf, in welcher die Düfte von frisch gebackenen Baguette, pains aux chocolats und pains aux raisins den kleinen Raum erfüllen. Draußen bereits eine 10m lange Schlange, man könnte ja leer ausgehen. Ganz stolz auf französisch die XXL Bestellung für die Familie aufgeben und auf dem Weg zum Zelt direkt 1 warmes Croissant inhalieren, bevor das zweite am Tisch dick mit Nutella bestrichen wird. Manchmal frage ich mich, wie ich es als Kind mit der selben Kleidergröße aus dem Frankreich Urlaub geschafft habe.
Genau so riecht Essenza Miracolosa: Nach frisch gebackenen Pains aux raisins - ein Gebäck aus buttrigem Blätterteig, gefüllt mit süßer Vanillecreme und Rosinen. Süß, cremig, subtil aber trotzdem präsent.
Ich rieche hier absolut keinen Amaretto heraus, dafür aber umso mehr Mandel, Karamell, Vanille und Sandelholz. Insgesamt ein absolut süchtig machender Duft, der gerne auch intensiver sein könnte. Es ist eine Duftkomposition die definitiv eher feminin ist, aber nicht auf eine pudrige oder zu essbar-gourmandige Art und Weise. Es ist schon ein erwachsenes Parfum und sicherlich Signature Scent worthy, da absolut alltagstauglich und nicht zu stark für die empfindlichen Nasen unserer Mitmenschen…

Bianco Latte x Cotton Candy
Mein zweites Parfum von Theodoris Kalotinis und ich fühle mich direkt 10 kg schwerer.
Im opening ist die Zuckerwattennote definitiv sehr dominant. Süß und fluffig eröffnet der Duft, bis sich ziemlich schnell eine cremige Karamell und süße Vanillenote hinzugesellen. Im Opening riecht das Parfum wie Cotton Candy von Private Mood, im Dry Down wie Bianco Latte von Giardini di Toscana. Zusammen: Lecker! Foto realistische Jahrmarkt Atmosphäre mit gebrannten Mandeln und rosa Zuckerwatte. Aber: Der Duft an sich ist nichts neues, wenn man bereits Bianco Latte oder iMatti Milks Note besitzt.
Das Geld wert? Die Version kostet doppelt so viel wie die normalen TK Düfte. Dementsprechend würde ich dann doch eher Bianco Latte oder iMatti Milks Note kaufen, da diese 100ml enthalten und somit günstiger sind, als die 50ml von Univaere x Theodoris Kalotinis. Die Zuckerwatte im Opening ist flüchtig, daher bleibt am Ende vorallem die prominente Karamell-Vanille Note zurück.
Ich bereue es nicht den Duft gekauft zu haben, würde ihn aber nicht nachkaufen wenn er aufgebraucht ist.

Lemon muffin
I'm a Swabian. When I buy a perfume, it's always the full-size bottle because of the price advantage...always in the hope that the bill will work out in the end. Accordingly, after a lot of research, I also bought Devotion directly blind as a 100ml bottle.
It was definitely not love at first spray and not at 2,3,4,5 and 10 either. At the first moment and the first spray, the perfume is very reminiscent of a lemon deodorant from Weleda, which my father has been using for decades. A tart, natural lemon that evaporates quickly. No trace of vanilla, sweetness or even creaminess. I could have bought my father's deodorant for €5 - meeeh.
So my shelf of shame (aka shelf for bad purchases) has grown once again. After 4 weeks of exile, however, I wanted to give Devotion another chance... because the idea of simply giving the perfume to my father for his birthday seemed absolutely ingenious and effective.
In the meantime, the lemon no longer smells tart but sweet and hardly sour. The vanilla is also much more prominent now and the perfume has a great drydown: like a delicious, freshly baked lemon muffin with vanilla frosting. However, it remains natural throughout and the lemon never seems synthetic. The vanilla note is subtle but clearly recognizable as vanilla. Overall, the fragrance smells like grating the zest of a lemon and stirring it into a cake batter. A harmonious interplay of sweet and tangy. After 3-4 hours it is a skin scent, it remains on clothing for 4-5 hours until it fades.
If Devotion seems too tart and sour at first, let it mature. It's worth the wait (unlike your toxic situation).

Mainstream niche
Powdered sugar, caramel, vanilla, sandalwood...you might think something sticky and edible has come flying out of the bottle. Spoiler alert: this is not an edible gourmand fragrance. No caramel candy or vanilla ice cream - je suis desolée.
I have to admit, when I bought the perfume, that's exactly what I wanted. A delicious gourmand perfume so that I not only feed myself but also smell like a snack. Me in the home office, inhaling cake again? Nonsense, it's just my perfume. For sure.
When I first sprayed it, the scent was delicate, sweet and indefinable - but not in a good way. Like the body mist Cheirosa 62 by Sol de Janeiro. I had high expectations and was disappointed accordingly. The bottle was banished to the back row of the shelf aka my shelf of shame ("expensive bad buys").
After 3 weeks I sprayed it on again, somehow I didn't want to admit that I had once again thrown out €80 for a full-size perfume.
In the meantime, the fragrance has been absorbed and the vanilla, sandalwood and a delicate caramel can be clearly smelled. It's a sweet, creamy fragrance - but absolutely not too sweet or edible sweet. It smells grown-up, warm, sensual and feminine. The vanilla is not artificial and the sandalwood is not woody-masculine, so I see it on women rather than men. This makes the fragrance suitable for everyday wear and any situation: office, university, date night. In my opinion, it can hold its own against niche fragrances without smelling too designer-mainstream (sorry) or being too complicated for those breathing it in.

The bottle and its visual appearance are certainly debatable. From potato to liver, there are no limits here. If the perfume hadn't been so hyped on social media, I wouldn't have given it a second glance... just another celebrity perfume.
However, the fragrance itself really surprised me. To me, it smells like Baccarat Rouge 540 at first, but feminine and delicate. Side note: I don't like BR and all its dupes by the way, absolutely can't smell it and am glad that the hype is slowly dying down.
Cosmic has a similar fragrance DNA, but without the heavy animalic-masculine of BR. In the drydown, it becomes a warm vanilla-sandalwood note with floral accords. Overall, it is not sweet but rather floral and reminds me a bit of Donna Born in Roma by Valentino in the DD but better. I can imagine that it goes down very well with men.
I didn't really want to like the perfume, but somehow there's something absolutely attractive and feminine about it that makes you feel like you're spraying on an extra pinch of self-confidence. But maybe it's also Kylie's that-girl image that plays a part.
Conclusion: an uncomplicated, feminine fragrance that can easily be worn as a signature scent.
