Holy Smoke! And this is supposed to be a Xerjoff?!
One might be a bit confused when sniffing this creation for the first time blind and wondering what it reminds one of...
Honestly, I wouldn't initially think of Xerjoff. But is that a bad thing?
No, quite the opposite!

Powerful, spicy-peppery, slightly fresh opening.
Fine, soft, bright, cool incense is present from the very beginning and remains noticeable until the end. Thanks to the rather warm myrrh, it creates a beautiful interplay and an overall very balsamic and, above all, rounded presence. This is then further supported and rounded off in the drydown by resins from benzoin, vanilla-like labdanum, and creamy sandalwood. Floral notes are extremely subdued here.

Overall, a lovely, honest incense scent that gets a lot right, although it certainly hasn't reinvented the wheel. If it weren't for the Xerjoff label, I might have initially thought of "Fleurs Bohèmes - Tiger's Nest | Memo Paris" instead...

Nevertheless, a truly exciting addition to the "colorful" Xerjoff fragrance palette and highly recommended for all smoke lovers as well as cathedral-goers for a test :-D

PS: Aside from the scent, the bottle itself is already a real eye-catcher. It might be a bit kitschy for some at this point. However, I find it artistically amazing and I’m glad that Xerjoff continues to come up with new "treats." Additionally, as a little "hidden secret," you get a bicolored play of colors in the bottle glass (as long as there’s still content) when you approach a light source from the back. Cool idea!

A Fresh Lion?
Indeed, this masculine fragrance starts off citrus-sweet-aquatic. The fruit components primarily contribute their acidity. I don't find it very fruity at all after spraying. Right from the opening, there is a woody spiciness that intensifies over time, at times almost creamy/balsamic, but then settles between sweet-aquatic-woody base notes and lingers in this stage.

Conclusion:
It is indeed a fresh scent. However, one should not expect pure "refreshment" here. It is more of a warming freshness. This becomes clearer the closer you sniff it. It doesn’t aim to be too sporty either. More casual. Those who take this into account will receive an uncomplicated fragrance for the office and everyday life with average sillage & longevity. Given the existing spiciness, I would only recommend it to a younger clientele with reservations. In any case, test it beforehand.

All in all, a wearable average fragrance that neither stands out negatively nor positively and thus has to share its place in this fragrance category with many other competitors.
