Life after life
There are no belows or tomorrows. Everything glows behind a purple curtain of peppercorns and rough skins, of pungently shimmering red resins in a mist of smoking earths. There is no recognizable space. Only leathery skin beneath incense weaves. Dust inclusions in dark ambers. Solidifying wax from dragon's blood candles on withered wooden fibers. Relics from past lives. Will what disappears on the other side become blooming clouds of tart-sweet balm, sparkling veils of Siam?

The Romanian niche perfume house Adi ale Van collaborates with renowned perfumers and tries to have as much as possible handmade by small local companies in Romania, a process that is ideal for limited editions. The bottles are handmade and unique pieces by the artist Adi ale Van.
Perfumer Giovanni Festa was responsible for fragrances such as Mendittorosa's “Osang” and Adi ale Van's “Diamonitrion.” This signature style is also recognizable in “Philokalia - Afterlife Potion”: multi-layered, interwoven resins, tart-sweet and sharp-spicy. It begins with a shimmering pepper spiciness over red resins, apparently an interplay of different types of oud with subtle animalic facets, highlighted by fur-like costus and leathery civet and castoreum notes. Nagarmotha envelops everything in an earthy, smoky mist, while nard adds sweet, earthy, valerian-like nuances. Then incense takes over, balsamic with a warm, crystalline structure, transforming into dark amber, smoky, rather tart, before a dragon's blood-like, tartly spicy, slightly fruity wax note is added. Flower nectar seems to have strayed from the top note, and further resin facets open up, reminiscent of dark vanilla and bitter chocolate, as in Siam benzoin. A calming yet exciting fragrance with just the right amount of edge.
