Classic perfumery with a modern twist
For me, Ambre des Abysses is the perfect example of how classic fragrance compositions can be integrated into the modern perfumery world.

The fragrance starts with a light freshness and tart mint and orange blossom. You get classic fougere vibes with a slight spiciness and a green touch.

As the fragrance progresses, the aforementioned "modern" component becomes noticeable.
The fragrance contains tonka bean and vanilla, which create a subtle sweetness.
This makes the fragrance complex and rounded. This suits me quite well, as I am not normally a fan of fougere-like fragrances and also find it slightly edgy at the beginning.
The fragrance is more accessible and pleasant thanks to the warm base mentioned above.

In summary, the fragrance, like Reflection (45) by Amouage, is perfect as a signature scent for men. It is almost an evergreen, as it has both a DNA suitable for everyday use and a certain warm depth.

The price-performance ratio is more than solid. Performance and bottle quality are superb. Ambre des Abysses accompanies the wearer throughout the day.

Insider tip among cherry fragrances
For me, Ambre Rubis is a beautiful cherry fragrance that stands out from alternatives on the market on various levels.

Fragrance experience: The fragrance starts sweet and delicious with an extravagant cherry, which is immediately present. The fruitiness is underpinned by a juicy blood orange. Incense and pepper are only subtly perceptible.
After a while, Ambre Rubis moves in a slightly woody direction with "lovely" rum, which is more warm and gourmand than smoky and tart.
In the base, you get mainly woody and ambery notes that give Ambre Rubis a round and gentle facet.
In my opinion, the fragrance remains mainly sweet-gourmand and perhaps becomes slightly darker as it progresses due to the aforementioned notes.
The fruitiness diminishes as the fragrance progresses, although the cherry remains for a long time and never becomes (too) overpowering.

Application and performance: Ambre Rubis, just like other Gorumand fragrances of this type, is ideal for cooler fall and winter days, as its warm, fruity DNA comes into its own and does not come across as "too much".
The performance is extremely good. Ambre Rubis easily lasts the whole day and can also be clearly perceived by the wearer's surroundings for several hours.
Nevertheless, it is not a "beast" with overwhelming sillage.

The fragrance is definitely UNISEX.

Bottle and price: The bottle is simple and attractively designed. The deep red color gives an adequate foretaste of the fragrance experience. The price-performance ratio for this fragrance quality, paired with the high-quality bottle, is truly outstanding.

Conclusion:
Anyone looking for a delicious, deep and sensual cherry fragrance should definitely try this one. For me, it is clearly one of the best cherry fragrances on the market.

Masterpiece from the Orient
For me, Ajyal is the epitome of an extraordinary fragrance - my absolute favorite from the "Niche Collection".
It is best suited to spring and slightly cooler summer days, as the multi-faceted composition of fresh, fruity and floral notes, paired with a deep oriental twist, is at its best in mild to warm temperatures.

What makes Ajyal so special is the incredible fragrance development on the skin. As soon as you think you can grab the fragrance, new components unfold, creating a completely new fragrance impression, even though you can hardly actually identify individual notes.
The fragrance definitely starts off fruity-fresh with notes such as grapefruit, mint and rhubarb, while the beautiful and predominantly floral heart, consisting of a multitude of notes, unfolds over the course of the fragrance.
In the drydown, the warm, sweet base with notes such as vanilla, amber and musk becomes increasingly noticeable. This impression rounds off the previously rather fruity and floral fragrance perfectly and at the same time gives it a beautiful depth.

The complexity of Ajyal is simply impressive. The individual components harmonize so well with each other that the fragrance (unlike other fruit bombs on the market) never seems chaotic or overloaded.
As usual with Spirit of Dubai, Ajyal's longevity is quite good and the fragrance stays with you for many hours. The sillage is also above average, although Ajyal is not a beast when dosed appropriately and will hardly bother anyone.

The flacon design is really successful and adequately reflects the fragrance experience. The accompanying travel case is a nice and practical detail.

Conclusion:
Ajyal impresses with a highly complex fragrance creation that harmoniously combines an incredible number of notes. It combines a fruity freshness with floral notes on an oriental base. The fragrance exudes elegance and luxury and is by far my favorite choice from this direction.
