Delicious boozy fruit
Oud In Calvados is a really great boozy fruity scent. The sweet boozy apples are the main star here, but it’s also woody and spicy as well. It is kind a reminding me a bit of Plum In Cognac, same type of delicious fruity booziness, but they are completely different.

It’s not alcoholic or synthetic and it’s a quite powerful fragrances, perfectly unisex.

On skin this last almost the entire day and the sillage it leaves is breathtaking. It projects quite nicely for a few hours, before it sets closer to the skin.

Definitely worth trying if you like this type of scents…

Plum in madeira…?!
Tabac Rose was suggested to me because of the plum note, curious enough I got a sample and was blown away, not by plum but by chocolate…

Having different expectations for this scent I wrote it off and the sample was put away, until about a year after when I came across it again.

I retested it, still with the first test lingering in the back of my mind, but this time around it was much different.

It’s still a chocolate fragrance for me, it was the first time and it is now, but with my expectations set a side, it’s so much more.

A dark, delicious and mysterious chocolate covered plum with a tiny hint of sweet tobacco and spicy rose. This fragrance kind a makes me think of Plum in madeira (marzipan and plum covered in chocolate).

Tabac Rose is wild and powerful, it leaves a great trail and it lasts all day on my skin. I wear it all year and even though it’s probably best in colder weather, I also love it during the warmer summer months.

After revisiting the sample it didn’t take long for me to get a full bottle and today it is among my absolute favorite fragrances…

Sweet as candy
I love a good cherry fragrance and I had a hard time finding one that didn’t end up smelling like plastic on my skin…

Cherry can easily come off very synthetic, I’m probably a bit damaged from the scented doll’s I had as a kid, but Rouge Smoking isn’t like that at all.

Actually I didn’t like it as first, it was too sweet, but it grew on me and I ended up getting a full bottle.

For me this is a sirupy cherry, it’s sweet and has an almost candy like quality. It is the kind of fragrance you almost want to eat, even though I don’t think full on gourmet with this one.

The longevity and sillage is average on my skin, even though it’s quite powerful the first hour of wearing.

Great scent for a true cherry lover…

Good choice for summer
Banana Republic is well known for inexpensive fragrances with good quality and this one is no exception…

I have tried most of the line from witch this comes from and must say that this is my favorite.

This was part of my search for a great bergamot dominant fragrance and I wasn’t disappointed at first sniff.

For me this is more fresh than green as the name might suggests, the bergamot is quite prominent and it hints of Earl Gray tea. It’s bright and refreshing, but it doesn’t develop much on my skin.

The longevity is as expected with a freshie, so it could be better, even though I think it does pretty well considering the price - at this price it’s no problem to reapplying during the day…

For me this is a very good fragrance for warmer weather, it really smells amazing in the summer sun.

Not a anonymous rose
I know Atelier Cologne, mostly for their bright and fresh scents, so this was a surprise for me coming from this house.

Like with many other fragrances, the name doesn’t quite fit the fragrance if you ask me, as the rose isn’t anonymous at all. Well blended, the rose is noticeable, but it’s not dominant.

I have been wearing this fragrance many times and depending on weather and heat, the experience is a little different. For me it works best in slightly cooler weather, but I wear it during summer too and I enjoy it all year around I all types of weather.

The rose is dry and slightly earthy. It’s not a jammy and sweet rose, it’s mature and more sophisticated. This fragrance is unisex, but in my opinion it’s a bit better on male skin than on mine (female).

Depending on the weather and heat, this fragrance last most day on my skin and the trail it leaves is very beautiful.

It’s not a groundbreaking scent profile, so nothing new here, but for me it’s a great oud rose patchouli combination, that’s easy to wear as the oud isn’t scary or nasty in any way.
