Hope dies last....
I know I'm not supposed to hurt anyone's feelings when I'm commenting. And I'm gonna put it all in a very good way. But it's just on my mind to write a comment about this.
Whenever I try to love Le Labo I get somehow disappointed. Maybe I shouldn't, but hope dies last
I've been feverishly looking forward to August / September where the City Exclusives are finally available.
And Mousse de Chene was at the top of my wish list. I love oakmoss. And I know what it smells like. I also know that Le Labo fragrances don't necessarily smell like what they're called. Or often only the top note was designed accordingly.
But this one, no, this one has nothing to do with oakmoss. For me, anyway. If there was a top note, it was gone after about 30 seconds with me. I can't even describe what she was like anymore. What remained with I had to wash up. Urgently. A base I've known from other fragrances. Something on dark spicy made with cumin note. With in this case unbearable Sillage for me.
I'm really disappointed.
I hope all the other testers / porters don't get it like this!

A pearly iris
Iris total - the top note is so fast that I can't describe it any further. What is immediately present is the iris. It's a strong iris scent, with a long shelf life and presence. But it's not a soft, woody or even powdery iris scent. It sparkles, has something similar to champagne.
You have to like him because, like I said, he's getting pretty up in the nose....

South Seas magic?
How do I start?
Best with the flacon. When I saw this one on Parfumo, I was blown away. What a beautiful design! I love crystal.
And you want it to smell like Tiare? Frangipani? South Seas Associations? Hm, I could also like that.
So I'm to Diptyque, quickly, as long as there are still these limited flacons.
The bottle caught my eye at the store. And, um, he was disenchanted. Yes, I'm afraid so. Not so nice, crystal sparkling. Pressed glass, yeah, sure. But just really only pressed glass.
And how does it smell? My olfactory memory didn't take long to tell me "I know him".
And yes, Rem from Reminiscence smells like this. Summery light, aquatic vanilla.
Essences Insensees smells a little more flowery, maybe a bit of wood, a little sweeter. But Tiare, Frangipani? No, I'm sorry, I don't smell that.
Therefore if possible please test and look at it yourself.
After all, it would have been a bigger investment....

The lost flower
I like jasmine. And for the time being, it is early summer, white flowers are scenting me everywhere. Also the small jasmine pot on the balcony. And I thought it would be great to have a nice jasmine scent in my collection. So let's go to Le Labo, they at least have a scent called that. With Le Labo I connect surprisingly positive experience as well as, well....
So I sprayed Jasmine 17 on it and got out in the fresh air with it.
First impression: Yes, there's jasmine in it. A greenish, serious, slightly bitter jasmine. But he's not coming alone. It is embedded in a sweet and creamy base that seems slightly waxy to me. So imagine in me a jasmine blossom in enfleurage.
Little by little, the jasmine says goodbye, and only a little peeps out of the sweet base. And arrived at home, barely two hours have passed he has said goodbye completely. I can understand it, at least he wasn't really loved by me. The small flower was simply lost in this base.
Conclusion: For those interested in jasmine fragrance - please test beforehand.....

Real blossoms on the skin.....
...I have when I wear Moon Bloom.
It starts with powerful tuberose, some yang yang and jasmine. With all their natural notes. The tuberose is slightly woody, the jasmine slightly bitter, the ylang ylang slightly green. Also underlaid with a very discreet green leaf dress.
Nothing is artificial, sweet or headachy here.
After a few minutes - yes, this is how a lively, real tuberose flower smells!
Can't satirize me and my husband says: You smell good!
After a while it becomes softer, the fragrance of Plumeria and Gardenia, the original in nothing below.
It smells of flowers, of real white flowers.
After a few hours it gets very soft - and my memory of scents tells me that's the white snowball of scented snow you love to smell in spring.
A stunning creation for me. I recommend the fragrance to all who are looking for an authentic gardenia fragrance without headaches.
...just real flowers on the skin.
