Documentary Film about Iris
In the initial spray, one might mistake it for the more commonly encountered ginger flower. It starts with a slightly floral and bitter undertone, reminiscent of the roots of wild ginger. The unique earthy floral scent, coupled with the slightly acidic aroma of jasmine, creates a distinctive olfactory experience.

As the fragrance develops into the middle and base notes, it gradually becomes more intimate with the skin. The light and airy iris fragrance gently emanates, spreading delicately and cleanly.
The overall presentation is akin to watching a documentary film about flowers, with the camera tilting from bottom to top, capturing the transition from soil to petals, creating a visual journey through a blooming garden.

Jasmine surfaces at the right moment, gentle like the early spring weather. Against this backdrop, the overlay of ylang-ylang adds a touch of sweetness and intriguing notes.
There is a subtle vintage and cool powdery texture, reminiscent of the scent of old-fashioned powder foundation rather than soap.

The overall layers are delicate and refined, exuding a soft and elegant charm. The discernible use of quality ingredients becomes more captivating as time passes.
This fragrance leans towards a more feminine profile, embodying the image of a gentle elder sister.

The art of subtlety
Those in favor of the loud and obnoxious, you can skip this one. This is not your thing. This is for the ones who know how to get what they want with a single glance and a whisper rather than by crying out loud and demanding attention.

Violet forms a cold, transparent setting in which the iris' sparkles seem brighter than ever. Within this crystalline frame, there is a soft puffiness coming from the floral petals and some gray dust - clary sage - for texture. All stay on the soft and delicate side. Not necessarily “quiet”, just tactful hints that leave a little room for imagination.

In short, a green-floral iris with a mesmerizing, attractive subtle touch. Best worn on sunny days.

Green, fresh, aromatic, bright and natural
This is very different what I was expecting and actually it's better in that way. What I was expecting has been done so many times.

Iris Perle is very fresh and green. It reminds me of my childhood when I used to walk barefoot on the grass on a dewy morning and the air was full of aromas from natural flowers. Violet leaf makes it a little bit soapy like but it's only a little whiff here and there. Mimosa never achieves its characteristic powderyness and Ylang-Ylang doesn't offer that utterly creamy texture which is familiar. Both of them will of course soften over time towards the drydown and some rough edges of the notes are gone.

The overall scent is aromatic, a little bit herbal and it comes from Clary Sage. If you love Dusita's perfumes you are familiar with that note. On my skin Jasmine stays in the background as a supportive note. If thinking the name which means Iris Pearl it all make sense. The scent is clear and bright, like a dewdrop on an precious iris petal.

If you understand and appreciate natural perfumes this is your thing. If not, I think you should't even think about this one. The performance is like in artisanal products which means that the projection is from weak to moderate and the longevity is great but the scent is is subtle, smooth, almost a skin scent the most of the time.

The scent is rated in based off the quality which is great. Green, aromatic scent s are not so "me" so it would be wrong to rate the in based of my personal taste.

A taut spring floral
Username checks out. In its totality, Iris Perle is an opalescent soap bubble of freshly peeled mandarin over soapy-waxy-fatty mimosa clasped in a child’s slightly sweaty paw, but studied closely over a day, it breaks down into two distinct phases. The first is reminiscent of what I think of as the typically Italian take on iris, i.e., slightly bitter, powdery, and freshly-laundered, rather than floral. This is clearly built around a ‘grey’ workaday iris material (rather than orris root) dressed up with lots of mandarin peel and the sharp, vegetal greenness of violet leaf, which lends a subtle leather accent. It’s not a million miles off the Acqua di Parma or Prada Infusion d’Iris line DNA. But more expensive-smelling. So, like Satori Iris Homme.

The mimosa, shy creature that it is, is slow to unfurl, but eventually we get glimpses of that “is it a flower? Is it school glue? Is it a cucumber?” oddness that makes this flower so charming. It smells high-toned and bleachy, which gives it only a glancing similarity to the treatment of mimosa in Une Fleur de Cassie (Malle) (Une Fleur de Cassie possesses a grungy, garbagey tone that Iris Perle does not), and absolutely no connection at all to the throatier, almond gateau takes on mimosa like Farnesiana (Caron). In fact, as time goes on, it is the subtly aquatic cucumber aspects of mimosa that come to the fore, joining with the violet leaf to form a pale (wispy) melony leather accord that splits the difference between Diorella (Dior) and Le Parfum de Thérèse (Malle). Verdict: Nice, though not required reading if you have either Diorella or Le Parfum de Thérèse.

Refined and earthy
Iris Perle is old money refined--beautiful but a little distant. Rich but low key. I detect jasmine, dry green herbs, clean salt, a little soapiness, sweet candy ylang ylang, and powdery iris. The lady who wears Iris Perle loves gardening in a floppy hat and hosting dinner parties. I wish I were more like her. I'll settle for an invitation to dinner.

Run-of-the-mill feminine floral-freshie. Not remotely worth the price

An austere iris and sage. Very pretty and breezy, cool. Conjures up images of a buttoned up socialite from the turn of the 20th century.

Powdery iris, clary sage and a dash of soap. A bit too bathroom like at the start but mellows out

Let’s just say I’ve never seen people agree to this extent on what is a brand’s worst offering.

Soft yellow florals grounded in a clean iris and airy violet. Light and fresh, slightly pollinic-powdery. Not soapy but maybe a bit waxy.
