Cool Water meets Aventus

I'm leaning back right now and I gotta yawn. I'm waiting for the day when they'll really bring something new to the market. Something you haven't smelt yet, or at least something that brings out all the splendour and richness of facets, like Habit Rouge. Always all these flankers - just a little turned on the wheel - and brought out as a new fragrance. Honestly, it bothers me.
It also annoys me that people jump on a train all the time to get a piece of the cake. Well, now some will think it's normal, like clothes. One year "green" is the colour, the next season "all" wear "grey". I don't like this. Shouldn't or can't everyone wear what they want? Do we always have to give in to a trend of not being recognized in this society out of concern, or worse still, of having our fingers pointed at us?
Does it have to be a Galaxy or I Phone? Why not a Nokia 3210? - oh yes right - has no Whats App - we will always push somewhere in one direction.... I'm out of it. I'm going to stand there! I deserve to be loved the way I am and when I wear pink sweaters and brown trousers. What's the difference?

Was it a time Iso E super where everyone tried to copy the Molecule 01 from Geza Schön or the time with Ambroxan and and and and for a while.
Same with Dior Sauvage... every second smells like that little water on the street. Just like with Aventus. It just annoys me, better yet, it stinks to me already. The only thing I can bear is to get it cheap somewhere and even then I wouldn't buy it. This bird is currently being shot by Viking of Creed. It's unbelievable. But here my horns are slowly growing and the impertinence and audacity knows no bounds these days.

I don't know how Francis created that scent. He probably had a long working day and couldn't get anything done. In the end he tried to pour all possible leftovers and samples together? I don't know, I don't know. Shouldn't he be able to do better? Didn't he create THE fragrance of the 90s with Le Male? Wasn't it the same one that was completely unique and new? That's right Can he still do that, or should we rest on our laurels? Does this size really have to try to get something out of the cake, as already mentioned? in the hope that it will go down well? Excuse me dear Francis, for me it went all the way back.

Cool Water meets Aventus. And he can't touch either of them! If one perceives the classic, pubescent shower gel scent at the beginning, the typical Cool Water DNA follows relatively quickly and then the Aventus pan is pulled over the head pretty much the same way or shortly afterwards.
The consolation here is unfortunately only a little musk to finish off.
Smells like a cheap 20% fragrance, but costs about 170€ at 70ml!!! The Sillage and durability are underground.

I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. To me, the worst this house has produced in recent years. The only constant is the price... which seems to be rising steadily.

Kalle, in certain situations also called Ralle!, is a lude from Recklinghausen who goes up to 4 times a week under the Ghettotoaster. Sitting broad-legged in front of his "line", occasionally grasping his hand at his crotch, he whistles after every little ug that sneaks past him. "Hey, doll, stop right there!" he's groaning after him. His hydrogen blonde mulcow hairstyle is always top styled. His 585 gold chain dangles around his wide neck, which connects to his torrero bull neck. Always a close look at his left arm, where his Rolex Daytona platinum prances casually. Chewing gum, he throws a big grin at his buddy: "Club, what day?"

Kalle gets up and marches on string tracks with his pump jogging pants and the fine-ribbed shirt into his boot and checks the situation. He reaches over the counter, sips his protein shake and takes another few splashes of his "Prinzporno-Wässerchens", from which he feels he has a bottle in every room of his establishment.
Top motivated he slaps off his buddy, sits down on his fire chair and shoots off. His hair is smashing on his solarium-tanned skin.

In no time at all he is at the lake, where his fire stool settles in the coarse-grained sand. No topic for Kalle, he extends the stand, parks the hot oven, takes a running start, shouts: "BOOmmBeeeee", and claps like a Germanic foundling on the water surface. Broad grinning he appears, his posse is already crouching on the shore laughing: "Ham is waiting for you, RAALLLEEE!" Who thinks, the towel comes now... no Kalle dieselt himself first and rubs himself dry with the hands and Homme - why a towel. The heliotrope cinnamon vanilla bomb is spreading all over the gravel ball. "Kalle!", shrine them all: "You're the greatest!", Kalle grins and lets herself be celebrated.....

For me one of the most crude (in the positive sense) fragrances of the late 80s and 90s. Here something was created, which did not exist in the form yet and does not really exist until today. You have to dare him - not for everyone - but unfortunately, I find him just skilful.

the only downside is it says "Joop" on it. I had to wait on that pompous guy at the hotel. here I don't continue writing, otherwise it is still called "slander"...

Jasmine is a very fitting symbol of such kindness. When it was brought from India to Europe by Spanish sailors around 1560, one admired the flexibility of its branches, the soft shine of its starry flowers, and one believes that the reproduction of such a dainty and sculpted flower could only be effected in hot greenhouses. She thrived in it; now she was treated in cool greenhouses, she shot up admirably here; one finally dared to plant her in the open, where she now, without any care, defies the harshest winter.

Jasmine is often seen willingly stretching out its smooth branches in all directions given to it. It shoots up, climbing up on staves, arches into arbours of all shapes, and spreads a friendly green over terraces and walls. In former times, he was able to submit under the scissors of the stubborn gardener and pointed to a weak trunk, the shape of a young pomeranian tree. Among all forms, it scatters a rich harvest of flowers, refreshing the air and impregnating it with balsamic scents. Around its tender and friendly flowers the fleeting butterfly is juggling, and the busy bee sucks out of them abundantly the sweetest and best honey. The loving shepherd unites the jasmine with the rose to decorate the shepherdess's bosom with it, and in the same way he crowns the forehead of a princess, wound into a garland.

Before jasmine was transplanted to France, it was already native to Italy. A duke of Tuscany was first in his possession. Out of envy, he only wanted to enjoy this possession. He therefore forbade his gardener, not a branch of it, to give away a flower. The latter would probably also be faithful to this order if he had not been in love. But on the birthday of his beloved he presented him with a bouquet of flowers, and to give him a higher value, he adorned him with a branch of the rare jasmine. The young girl, in order to keep this alien plant unfaded for quite a long time, placed it in fresh soil; the branch remained green all year round, and the following spring it shot lavishly up and carried flowers. Her lover taught her how to treat this foreign plant, and it proliferated abundantly under her careful hand.

She was poor, the beloved even in poor circumstances, and her thoughtful mother refused her consent to a marriage where Armuth would soon be with both of them. But love is ingenious and often does wonders; the girl knew how to use her favour. She sold offshoots of her jasmine, and was so richly paid that she was able to collect a sufficient sum of money for her, with which now her beloved and her deepest wishes were fulfilled.

The virgins in Tuscany, in memory of this event, still wear a bouquet of jasmine on their wedding day, and it has become a saying there? "A girl who deserves to wear a bouquet of jasmine is rich enough to make a man happy."

So the hand of love has transplanted to, first the jasmine further, and may he fulfil her expectations everywhere at the hoping bosom of friendly brides.

... more cannot be said about the two main components. They form a unique, wonderful scent, which is for me with "Treffpunkt 8 Uhr" the flagship of the old/young newly interpreted house of the trio from Berlin, Veronique Nyborg, Lutz Herrmann and Tamas Tagscherer.

Great scent that makes a ride in a convertible through an alley of lime trees a very special excursion. Or a warm, nice evening stroll after a quick shower.

A tribute to the little lilies of the valley. Everything else than "small" or intimidating comes this Prachduft from the house Penhaligons therefore.

Actually, I'm not so good with that old British brand. This one, however, is hardly surpassable for me. For me, it is one of "THE" women's fragrances par excellence and is full of unbelievable elegance. He lends the wearer an almost magical aura, he gently and empathetically lays down around her and accompanies her through a festive evening.
When the said person enters the room, the voices are silenced, the jingling of the glasses goes out, the conductor accidentally pricks himself and the mass of the opulent feast turns all its eyes to the One.

She comes down the huge steps, with one hand supporting the baroque decorated railing, with the other hand lifting the dress slightly in one place to catch each step. A warm smile adorns her face, her head slightly bent. Some ladies have to push up the jaws of their masters or give them a keken jerk with their elbows in the side to awaken them from the dream world in which they were floating.
The lady arrives at the last level and speaks with a tender voice:" only further!"

The host takes his wife's hand and leads you towards the dance floor. Despite the call of his love, not a single one moves in the magnificent hall.
You're entering the dance floor. She gives the conductor a sign, the orchestra starts playing and they dance. They dance as if their lives depended on it and with every fine twist this incredible flower spreads into the noses of the travellers. There's nothing but the music. Fragrance:
In no other lily of the valley fragrance can you say that all the fine ingredients are almost perfectly matched to each other. Many other smells seem clumsy or overloaded, sometimes dull and cheap. Something was created here that outlasts all the others. I admit, however, that Floris' fragrance is almost there and a little cheaper. But who cares about the price of this timeless, elegant fragrance.

A special and also very positive aspect of Penhaligons is that they are suppliers to the court of the British royal family, so they are not allowed to reformulate fragrances from this high house without further ado. This statement is directly from Penhaligons in London. That's where I took the trouble to investigate.

Durability and Sillage:
He could give more here. So at the beginning he gets the impression of a toilet s. If it isn't almost louder and more penetrating than a perfume in the beginning, it flies away more quickly. And is an Eau de Parfum, Parfum or Extrait more permanent, more even over the whole run but constant constant not comparable. Nevertheless, they are really minimal subtleties, yes, maybe I could even omit the section... BUT too beautiful it is and therefore I would wish for a little more fullness.

Flacon:
Here Penhaligons has added another one and created a new bottle, which is now even more beautiful than the old one, adapted to the others in the house.


Simply this fragrance belongs to the top three of women's fragrances.

Now, a fortnight ago, I was in my favorite perfume.
Actually, the trip wasn't planned at all. Shortly before dinner with friends in a Ceylonese restaurant, we made a detour there.
I've had some scents shown to me. I actually wanted to buy Jo Malone - Myrrh & Tonka again because the bottle is empty - one of my favourite fragrances at the moment. The Grand Dame of this perfumery is over 70 and only there two days a week. She has decades of experience and has simply "dished up"

Everything was there and suddenly she reaches for a bottle of Atkinson. I've been distraught since I moved inside. Except for "Mint & Tonic" few people in this house can inspire me. And "Mint & Tonic" doesn't really do it either, I think it's pretty..
The saleswoman was so charming that I bit my lips and let it happen to me for the time being. Now the snippet was in front of me and the first impression was:" Oh, it's quite nice", just wait and see. 15 minutes later and after some more rehearsals, I came back to "Oud save the King". I liked him better than I did at the beginning. Carefully, I was told the price. Schlappe 195€ the 100ml.
Well, I know what Atkinson actually costs. The saleswoman smiled at me and told me that she was giving me 20% - testing and trying out is so much fun with me. My girlfriend took the snippet and said: "Mh, it's delicious, I participate too:-)" Since I was clammy this month, I wasn't really thinking:-) The difference of 65€ was no longer an issue:-)

At that moment I sprayed it on my wrist to see if it could shine so well on my skin.
We went for another ride outside. A short time later it was clear to me that we would go back and I could call him my own.

I don't usually do this kind of thing. I only test a fragrance over several days, sometimes even a few weeks. It even happens that I test some fragrances several times over a few months to understand them. But I'm sure there's a lot of people who do that around here. I hung it up right away and we drove to the restaurant.

to the fragrance:
You really have to use a lot of imagination to really catch the top note. It is too fast and too gentle, and thus passes almost directly into the heart note, which changes slightly in the course of time. For me the iris dominates here strongly with the oud. In the background a very delicate leather note is deposited. Iris and Oud lie on the leather and cover it almost completely. Now the trend is often not to sniff the three classic head, heart and base notes apart anymore. Here, too, it is actually a symbiosis of the substances mentioned. Also this fragrance does not tend to a surprising drydown with me. He's got a little vanilla in the end. Also he is too sweet for me just before the point to become. Oud and the minimal leather, however, still manage to dampen this outbreak.
Durability and Sillage are very good. There's no other way to put this. 8-12 hours, depending on skin condition and even sometimes to catch the next morning, but never loud and annoying.

Flacon: Well, as befits a king. Pomp and circumstance. Less is sometimes more but hey, it fits pretty well.

Furthermore, for me it is declared completely wrong, namely as men's fragrance. I'm sure I can find him in unisex. My work colleague even said again: "Do you have a woman's scent on it again?":-)

All in all a successful fragrance, which probably attracts the most attention in winter when it gets frosty and uncomfortable outside.
