Yves Saint Laurent launches new version of "Y", advertising campaign with Lenny Kravitz
Yves Saint Laurent has surprisingly launched a new version of the famous perfume "Y". Singer-songwriter Lenny Kravitz is the protagonist of the new advertising campaign.
"Y" (2022), created by Dominique Ropion, is designed to be a reinterpretation of the most distinctive family of men's fragrances, the fougère with its tension between purity and sensuality.
"I composed Y Eau de Toilette as a mineral and woody fougère with a decisive freshness," explains Dominique Ropion. "The note reveals an aromatic heart of pure lavender and fresh geranium, which spreads over a mineral accord of amber, a deep, resolute and masculine incense and sensual woods."
The master perfumer enhances the freshness of the original fragrance by adding a touch of bergamot, spicy and refreshing ginger and Madagascar bourbon geranium for a fresh heart. Created for YSL Beauté, the fresher and more assertive brother of rose unleashes its floral power through a special distillation process.
Singer-songwriter Lenny Kravitz stars in the advertising campaign with a film shot in the Bahamas by Lebanese director Jessy Moussallem.
The perfume is available in 60 ml and 100 ml bottles.
