My fave in the line is the EDP…
…but this one comes in to a very close second… the people who say that the performance differential between this one an the 2017 version is minimal are lying to themselves…

The scent is smoother, rounder, cleaner, and fuller than the 2017, and the performance is by far longer and stronger… I still prefer the EDP over this because it feels more “full” and has a more “mature” feeling “swagger” to it.

I got an easy 10 hours of performance off of 6 sprays, and it opened with a 6ft radius of projection that lasted 5 of those 10 hours easily. The ending is quite loud as well. Very, very nice indeed. I’m much happier with this one than I was with the Parfum edition.

good but not great
This IS an improvement from the 2017 version in -arguably- every sense, some people (me for example) will miss the nice violet+green apple mix note, but it lasts more.
It DOES NOT last 10 hours, or even 8 hours like youtubers say, they probably don´t sweat and are not using it in summer.
This is not by any means a beast fragrance like its sister EDP, it is right there and close to the Live version in performance, Live more stingy to the nose and better suited for open places, 2022 EDT is a tad softer because of the lavander and better suited for close spaces.
It DOES last way more than the original EDT, if the 2017 lasts around 3+ hours in summer (on my skin, mild sweating on summer from time to time), the 2022 version lasts around 6 hours. maybe 7 tops hidden in your skin.
Overall good, but I won´t recommend it at full price, if you want to get it, get it at a discount.

Honest opinion
What initially caught my eye was an advertisement that claimed an increased longevity of the new 2022 EDT over its predecessor the original Y. I came across a sale on the Yves Saint Laurent website not long after seeing this advertisement, and with your purchase they gave you a sample of Black Opium for women. Having already owned Y Eau Fraiche and Y EDP, I took the opportunity to get the new Y EDT and Y Le Parfum and gave the Black Opium to my daughter.

Now onto the juicy gossip…I must say that after wearing this for the first time the claims of increased projection and longevity were not wrong, it will last you all day and then some. To me this has a lot of similarities with Y EDP but comes off as less thick and softer. I would say that this is better suited for warmer weather and the EDP is best saved for the fall and winter months.

In conclusion, if blue fragrances are your thing, you can’t go wrong with Y EDT it checks all the boxes and gets the job done. I have no experience with Y Live but if you’re looking for a one size fits all approach to the rest of the Y line I would recommend you go with Y EDP.

Sweet and sophisticated everyday fragrance
When you apply this fragrance, you feel like you've just stepped out of the shower and everyone notices how freshly showered and groomed you are. It embodies the perfect balance between decency, masculinity and sweetness. You can wear it as a young businessman in the office or when going out on a summer afternoon. The silage is very good. So is the longevity for an EdT. I would recommend this fragrance to anyone who doesn't want to dig too deep into their pockets and is looking for a fresh, sweet, masculine, elegant and not too intrusive scent.

What a fragrance!
The YSL Y EdT was one of my first perfumes. I received it as a gift and it and its sillage have haunted me ever since. And so have I, because I've never had to buy a perfume so often.

For me, the best of the Y series. The eau de parfum, for example, is longer-lasting, of course. But they don't have much in common. The scent of the EdT, on the other hand, is much more successful in my opinion.

It is fresh in a synthetic way. However, the synthetic is not a scent that you notice alongside the other notes, but gives the perfume its uniqueness and makes you almost addicted to it.

A very well-rounded, complete perfume that is actually always suitable. A little more spraying or re-spraying is recommended. But it's worth it!

Although not listed, it feels like an aquatic cucumber/aloe + lavender blend. Fresh, yet projects powerfully. Prefer the EDP.

The 2017 version was more interesting. This is more in line with the EdP and Le Parfum. Something synthetic in itgives me a slight headache.

So easy to wear! Gives me a warm breezy feeling—zesty yet clean with sage, lavender and a hint of sweetness from vanilla. Versatile. Great!

Fairly reminiscent of the EDP throughout the fragrance, though this one comes off cleaner and fresher.

Previously owned the 2017 version and sold it because it was so weak. This stuff is no slouch by any means. 8.5/10.
