Elegant but Too Powdery for Me
When I first smelled this in the boutique I thought it was an end game easy full bottle purchase for me, but I took a travel size just to be sure, and I'm really glad I did.
At first spray I get pleasant vanilla and a huge hit of powder. After about 5 minutes the powdery note just takes over on me, and the vanilla fades completely to a skin scent. I don't feel like it projects the way I want at all.
After 6 hours it is essentially gone unless I go hunting for it on my wrists.
It is elegant and sophisticated, but the powder makes it too mature smelling for me. There are other more interesting elegant vanillas that I'd rather have full bottles of. Van Cleef's Orchidee Vanille is a much more interesting powdery gourmand vanilla to me.
I don't get the juniper notes at all and I don't get the spices. I like GF gold, but I don't like it enough to splurge for a full bottle. Not a super remarkable vanilla fragrance to me.

Lovely Depth - wish it wasn't as popular
I smelled this first in 2020, I had just started hearing about BR540 and when I picked up the EDP I liked it, thought it was unique, but it was definitely lacking something for me.
The sales associate quickly told me to try the extrait version which she thought was superior, and man she was right. I love almond notes and I don't know if that is what pushes the extrait version so far up in my opinion, but ugh, it is addictive and complex and I just love it.
I think some people say the edp smells synthetic, and I could see that in the edp, but the extrait seems to have a better blend and it doesn't smell as synthetically sweet to me.
I've had it for 3 years now and the profile hasn't changed or aged. It is still as addictive as when I first purchased. I haven't smelled anything like it and the dupes are not close in my opinion.
It projects, and it lasts and lasts and lasts. I swear even after laundry sometimes I'll smell it. People have stopped and asked me what I'm wearing, this is the only scent that has done that. I've had people write it down, and I've gifted it twice because of friends and family using it every time they are over.
I think because the EDP and Extrait have gotten so popular I don't reach for it as much, and it frustrates me because it is one of my favorites. I like to wear it in the fall/winter more than the spring/summer. And it is hands down my husband's favorite perfume on me. I would say it is worth it, I love the travel set with the travel case. I'm hoping that these other tiktok viral perfumes popping up like bianco latte will draw some attention away from BR540 so I can wear it and feel more original again. Right now I wear gentle fluidity gold a little bit more because I don't smell it on other people.

I gifted my husband the le labo discovery set on a whim last year as he needed some help in the cologne department. We spent time and worked our way through every scent in the house, and this was hands down our favorite.
It is fresh and lives on the skin so beautifully. It melds into my skin totally different than it does my husband, but we both receive compliments when wearing.
On me it smells fresh and light. I think the pear and jasmine notes really project when I wear it. It smells light and almost aquatic on me. I love it as an everyday scent.
On my husband it pulls more musky and the green notes come through. There is also some pepperiness to it that pulls it masculine with his skin chemistry. My husband swears to him Another 13 reminds him of riding Pirates of the Caribbean at Disney. I kind of get it, like a musky dark aquatic on him.
We kept stealing each others samples and finally ended up gifting each other full bottles for Christmas, so now we each have our own! I reach for it all the time. It is my husband's signature scent right now, and one of my preferred every day scents.
I saw somewhere that people compared or saw hints of BR540 in another 13, and I don't get that at all on me. On me it seems much more adjacent to fresh scents like Acqua di Gioia EDT, but there is also something in Another 13 that gives it more depth.
This scent lasts on me and my clothes for days. I do think it becomes more of a skin scent after 6 hours or so. But I definitely think it is unique enough to have in your collection.

Sweet and Light - Not Easy to Forget
Caveat - I'm new to reviewing, my descriptions are probably not amazing, but I've got to start tracking and learning more into what I'm wearing. I hope this helps someone else not super educated in fragrance like myself!
I originally received this as a sample with purchase in 2019. I loved it at first spray, it was very unique to me at the time and I cherished that sample using it sparingly. I got compliments every time I wore it, I was told I smelled like luxury cotton candy, or sweet enough to eat.
I spent 3 years trying to find a similar scent with no luck. Nothing else quite captured the light but sweet scent I'd come to love. It was fresh and fizzy, the cocoa was blended so well it doesn't weigh it down. I typically don't love florals, but this is just a very nice blend of everything together. I caved and bought a full bottle. It has quite the dent now!
When I wear this I feel extremely feminine, I reach for it the most in the spring, but do wear it year-round.
It lasts, and in my hair and clothes I can smell it the next day and the dry down is so good! My husbands favorite after BR540 Extrait. It does remind me a little of BR540, but a lighter brighter little sister. To me they are different enough to have both in my collection.
