An extensive line of fragrances
Attrape-Rêves opens with its fruitier and fresh notes, taking center stage. The litchi leads the way, flanked by you typical bergamot clean brightness. What’s nice here is the bit of ginger spice that kicks early on.

The ginger won’t be a major player throughout, but I like the touch during these opening stages. Sweet, fresh, and a bit spicy early.

The next main note to really pop is the patchouli. Attrape-Rêves does have a significant amount of patchouli, but it isn’t the focus. However, it’s probably the second or third strongest note throughout the wear.

So, we have a fruit-chouli start, that morphs into being more floral dominant.

Here, the peony is going to be the star. The bergamot and ginger begin to fade from the composition, which allows the cocoa, peony, and rose to emerge.

At this point, it’s a lot of the peony, patchouli, and remaining litchi. On my skin, the litchi moves on out and the cocoa takes its place.

Not a strong Turkish rose, this one will mostly be about the peony. Attrape-Rêves starts to have less of that initial freshness and things become more gourmand thanks to that cocoa.

The ending part of this is very much your typical floral-patchouli aroma, but seemingly dipped in a dry cocoa, almost like its powdered form.

Maybe if I wore fur coats and an extravagant bob
This is a huge no for me. I really didn't expect this to be a generic fruit-chouli experience but that's what I get. This is very dense, very reminiscent of popular "perfumey" women perfumes, kind of vitange. It is floral, and fruity, and strong with the cacao and patchouli giving it this deep rich touch that is nauseating to me. Moderate performance, something that would be good during nighttime or cold winters.

Sweet and Light - Not Easy to Forget
Caveat - I'm new to reviewing, my descriptions are probably not amazing, but I've got to start tracking and learning more into what I'm wearing. I hope this helps someone else not super educated in fragrance like myself!

I originally received this as a sample with purchase in 2019. I loved it at first spray, it was very unique to me at the time and I cherished that sample using it sparingly. I got compliments every time I wore it, I was told I smelled like luxury cotton candy, or sweet enough to eat.

I spent 3 years trying to find a similar scent with no luck. Nothing else quite captured the light but sweet scent I'd come to love. It was fresh and fizzy, the cocoa was blended so well it doesn't weigh it down. I typically don't love florals, but this is just a very nice blend of everything together. I caved and bought a full bottle. It has quite the dent now!

When I wear this I feel extremely feminine, I reach for it the most in the spring, but do wear it year-round.

It lasts, and in my hair and clothes I can smell it the next day and the dry down is so good! My husbands favorite after BR540 Extrait. It does remind me a little of BR540, but a lighter brighter little sister. To me they are different enough to have both in my collection.

Light and Dreamy
For those who don't speak French "attrape-rêves" means "dreamcatcher" and this is a fitting name. This is a light, sweet floral that has a nice light tart touch and I find it wears close to my skin, and I can see myself wearing this to bed for sweet dreams. I can see the similarity to Delina Eau de Parfum but I think this is a bit juicier. I don't know if I would shell out the money for a full bottle but I am glad I bought a sample from DecantHouse.

ELEGANTLY SWEET...
I gifted this to my mother after trying the miniature.
Sometimes I think how great some of the women fragrances are and this is one of them.
I would suggest you go for a miniature first to test it first and then go ahead if you genuinely like it and not just the hype of LV...because it can get bit too sweet for some and you can get better options out there under 1/3rd of the price, but the opening of Lychee feels very relaxing for sure but get's pretty sweet later on.

Interesting chocolatey floral scent. Cross-breed between gourmand and heavier florals. Definitely more feminine than I expected.

Outstanding scent! Men can rock it. Slightly too floral for me. I wish my wife liked it more. Would buy it for her so I can enjoy it.

If this smells like body odor to you, you should reevaluate your hygiene. AR is a fresh, fruity floral, deepened by cacao and patchouli.

Fresh, fruity leisure scent, lychee almost slightly rosy. Youthful and carefree

A sweet and sour lychee note mixes well with the strong rose flavor, in the drydown is a note reminiscent of tonka in lychee’s place.

It’s not too heavy of a fragrance or super cloying, but the heat and humidity isn’t going to present Attrape-Rêves at its best.

Powdery-green rose, candied ginger, subtle patchouli. Classy. The musky-sweet patchouli base felt very similar to VS Bombshell Magic.

Beautifully made, exquisite scent. Designer like crowd pleasing but better quality. Fresh, fruity, floral, not gourmand. Too generic for me.
