Independent or just a flanker?
Ganymede Eau de Parfum x Megamare

At first, I thought I had made a mistake and sprayed on Ganymede. The top note could also be a dupe. After the first 15 minutes, however, this feeling subsides and a slightly algae-like, mineral note is added. I can also understand the association with Oud Minérale, but since there is no animalic note at all, it is more of a scent that I know from Megamare. Over the course of the day, this mineral, alky note then gains strength until it drowns out the saffron after 5-6 hours.

H&S are on a par with the two aforementioned fragrances - with just a few sprays, you and those around you can enjoy them all day long. However, the fragrance is definitely something for experienced noses - which you can imagine with the fragrances that serve as a comparison.

Personally, the fragrance is not independent enough for me. If you layer Ganymede with Megamare, you should have a comparable fragrance - and at the same time you are much more flexible. For Supernova, you need selected occasions.

Jupiter instead of Ganymede
Most of us now know Ganymede Eau de Parfum and many love it. A very unique fragrance, the epitome of niche. The freshness of mandarin and the depth of agikalawood make it appealing, while the saffron lends a technical, sterile note that makes this fragrance so special.

So what could be more obvious than to create a flanker for this box office hit?

This brings us to Ganymede Extrait. At 275 € OVP for 50 ml, this is a fragrance that will make even fragrance lovers with deep pockets squeeze out a tear. What do you get for it? And why should you pay almost 3 times the price of Ganymede?

The first time you spray it on, you realize how incredibly powerful this fragrance is. You are catapulted straight into a cathedale. Frankincense and myrrh give it an aura that is second to none. In your mind's eye, a priest in full vestments passes by with a censer and opens the ritual. The technical freshness of Ganymede Eau de Parfum can only be guessed at this point. Instead of a technology laboratory on the moon of Jupiter, you get Notre-Dame in the 17th century.

But this impression fades within the first half hour. The frankincense and myrrh recede, saffron and agikalawood come to the fore and with them the typical Ganymede DNA. In contrast to Ganymede Eau de Parfum, however, it is not as fresh, but rather wicked and noble. The synthetics of the eau de parfum are somewhat softened by this - even if they make up a significant part of the original's appeal for me. From this stage onwards, the fragrance remains relatively linear. The way the fragrance smells, I imagine a cathedral of the Ecclesiarchy on Terra or Mars in the year 40,000.

In addition to this slightly different base, however, the durability and sillage in particular have changed. While these were still strong and perceptible everywhere in Ganymede Eau de Parfum, Ganymede Extrait surpasses them. If you entered a room with Ganymede Eau de Parfum, the fragrance was immediately present and remained so for several hours. However, this fragrance was not created for earthly occasions - whether on Earth or the Earth-like moons of Jupiter. No. Ganymede Extrait can withstand even the whirlwinds of Jupiter itself. Even the most crowded techno club is immediately taken over by the scent. And even after a night at Berghain, all you'll smell the next morning is Ganymede. The longevity is absolutely insane. I sprayed two half sprays in the morning to test it out. After a stressful day at work, an hour of running followed by a shower, I could still smell it intensely the next morning. I have never experienced such an H&S with any fragrance before.

Would I buy this fragrance? No. I like the synthetics of Ganymede and the light freshness. That makes it wearable. H&S are completely over the top for almost all earthly occasions anyway. I was very pleased with the sample and will use it in said techno clubs until it runs out. The extra cost may be justified in terms of performance and the fragrance oils required for it, but doesn't give me anything I missed about the original. Nevertheless, this is a unique fragrance that exudes an incomparable aura.

A breeze blows in the dunes
I have rarely smelled a fragrance whose marketing fits the scent so perfectly. As soon as you spray it on, it catapults you to the Pacific coast of Australia. You've spent the day on your surfboard and the water and seaweed have released their subtle scent onto your skin, the salt water in your wetsuit is drying on the line next to you, a light breeze is blowing in from the sea and the grass is swaying around you.

A wonderful aquatic fragrance with a hint of green from the sage and moss. There is also a slight saltiness, but in contrast to "40 Knots | XerJoff" (sweet salt) or Megamare (dark salt), it comes across as completely carefree and light, carried by the absolutely seductive sage and fresh lemon peel.

The fragrance progression is relatively linear. The citrus note fades, but sage and salt remain in the foreground the whole time.

The sillage is really good for a freshie, even if you can over-spray a little here. 8-9 sprays are perfectly fine here. Contrary to most reviewers, I think the longevity is great. I can easily smell it on my skin for 6-7 hours, and on my clothes even the next day.

The bottle skilfully continues the theme, feels high-quality and the spray head is great. 100 ml is always available for just over €100. An absolute recommendation for summer. For me, the perfect fragrance for a day at the beach or lake or for the beach bar. A vacation in a bottle.

Horse riding in the south of France in late summer
Indigo Suede is a modern leather scent that I would describe as masculine with a great fragrance development and crazy durability

From the very first spray, you can smell the leather, but it is covered by a beautiful floral note. I can clearly smell mandarin and sense lavender. However, I am not standing in a lavender field, but walking through the countryside, in the distance you can see the lavender swaying in the wind. But the leather is already in the background. I don't notice any smoke yet.

As the day progresses, the leather becomes more dominant, the fruity notes fade and make way for the lavender. At the same time, a light smoky note joins in - but more like a glowing candle and less like a campfire. I hardly smell any wood, for example.

Towards evening, the lavender also disappears, leaving behind a pleasant, warm scent that is characterized by leather and an incredible cosiness (no idea what that is exactly). You can still smell it clearly at this point.

The longevity is absolutely crazy. I can still smell it clearly in the shower the next morning. And the clothes still smell 2 days later. The sillage, on the other hand, is good, but not extreme.

The perfect fall fragrance for me. I love smelling it on myself and feeling how the fragrance smells a little different every time. It starts floral, fruity and ends cozy - perfect for an autumn day. However, I can also imagine that it is not the right fragrance for everyone. The leather and slightly smoky notes give the fragrance a few rough edges - but that's what makes it interesting for me in the first place.

In my opinion, it's also great for the office and leisure time, I just find it a little too dominant for going out to eat.
