That is IT!

Previously I thought Ganymede was quite good, but for me personally it was a bit too synthetic, which got on my nerves in the long run. It also gave me a really good headache after a few hours. In short: we weren't friends.

Can happen, the Ganymede quickly flew out of the collection again. Now this beautiful thing came out, but I didn't let myself be influenced by the Parfumo community beforehand and deliberately didn't read anything about the fragrance.
First sniff: Yes, we are warming up! It's just that typical bitter/saffrony Ganymede DNA, which smells much better. It's not so blatantly synthetic and has a certain freshness in the background, which makes it much more wearable than the Ganymede.

It also feels much more natural and not so overpowering. Sure, it hasn't reinvented the wheel, but for me it's a better version of a good fragrance that I wanted to wear.

H/S is okay, I see it more as an office fragrance or as a freshie with a "conscience something". I think a maximum of 8 hours is realistic.

A supernova is an event that represents both the death of an object and the creation of many new things, and the scent captures this amazingly well.
Over a considerable period of time, we experience a constant cat and mouse with it which familiarizes us with all the scent nuances that are present.
The fragrance is not cool, it is cold.
Very cold, like surgical instruments.
Not a shred of sweetness has made it into this fragrance and I L-I-E-B-E it.
In a time where it's a bit state of the art to be either fruity or sweet in some way (yes Gritti has fallen into this trap too, I'm looking in your direction Mango Aoud , brrrrrr) Gritti manages to create a wonderfully refreshing aquatic here without 1000-fold marine nuances.
More like a good sip of cold water from a slightly tarnished water shaman halfway up a mountain you're trying to climb, if that makes any sense.
A glacial stream with a gravel bed, crystal clear and brute.
The slight woodiness is barely noticeable, it blends in so well with the fragrance.
These clear, peppery-metallic nuances also describe the black powder very well.
It has something clean about it, but not this musky cleanliness, rather something sterile and cold.
How you imagine a spaceship, like one from Alien where everything is white and you can't see a crumb of dirt.
It's a really, really successful depiction of a non-seaworthy aquatic that takes a slightly different approach. Very nice.

The Dis - Dance

In the niche world, I've already met a few transformation artists who change their scent over the course of several hours and smell completely different on skin and clothing, but this fragrance creates something that I have never experienced in this form;

It smells completely different depending on the distance. I have already experienced this with other fragrances, but it is new to me in such an extreme way.
Please don't be intimidated by the fragrance pyramid, this is not a pencil-lead-metal-T-800 banger à la Noir Anthracite - which I had actually expected and also find exciting - but an extremely invigorating, ozone-like freshie with exciting twists.

The fragrance proves its chameleon kinship by playing with distance.

The sillage is enormous. Room-filling - extremely unusual for an extrait. Sprayed onto a perfume card and placed in the room, it spreads an unobtrusive, pleasant ozone freshness as mentioned before. When you leave the room and come back, you realize how strong it is. Placed in the hallway, this freshness accompanies you every time with the slightest breeze. Baccarat Rouge 540 Eau de Parfum becomes envious here, I have rarely experienced anything like it.

However, when you get closer to the card - or the sprayed piece of skin - Super Nova shows its second face. Here it becomes metallic, cool, earthy - and you start to doubt that the freshness from a moment ago couldn't have come from this place after all.

Overall, I find the fragrance concept totally exciting; space suits are said to smell like gunpowder as soon as you have taken your first walk. So you have the smell of space, the metal of spaceships, gloomy, earthy end-time notes and the ozony, lonely freshness of new beginnings - all captured in one bottle.

Perhaps too simplistic for some, too linear in its progression, boring. When it comes to cooking, they say "the eye eats with you" - with fragrances, I say "the brain smells with you" - but as a concept and old sci-fi fan, I think this fragrance is just great.

Shape Shifter

First of all, you shouldn't expect a proverbial supernova, because the Super Nova is neither short-lived, nor does it start with an explosion, but rather quietly. But well, you can't hear anything in space.

You should definitely test this fragrance on your skin. While it was barely perceptible on the test strip in the perfumery and very soft in its form, it developed on my hand and everything that came into contact with it into something that I had never experienced before.

First of all, my experience with aquatics is limited. So I can't really classify Super Nova yet. However, I can say that the fragrance is very interesting and lasts and projects for an extremely long time. My skin normally absorbs fragrances quite quickly, but I could still smell this one days after applying it, despite showering and washing my hands. My jacket and sweater were still filling rooms with the
Fragrance. I had never experienced this before and it is both a plus and a minus.

While the fragrance starts out soft and fresh with pepper and artemisia, it later drifts into an increasingly synthetic feeling of metallic and salty notes, which offer great potential for headaches. This is made even worse by the persistence. Although the fragrance has something, it got on my and my girlfriend's nerves at some point due to its omnipresence. The headache aspect even made it slightly nauseating. It was just too much and you couldn't escape the scent. I couldn't detect any oud or gunpowder.

The creation is definitely something special and I haven't smelled anything comparable yet. The price-performance ratio is great, especially for a fresh fragrance. I wouldn't recommend more than one spray to anyone.

Whether you understand time as relative and want to see the fragrance metaphorically as the entire course of a supernova, or rather see it as a measurable after-effect in infinity, is up to you. In any case, it is a great experiment that positively confuses.

After some time, I will certainly test the fragrance again and then adjust my review if necessary.

Super Nova or Super Ganymede?

Smells very much like Marc-Antoine-Barrois' Ganymede; just a little weaker. (Don't get me wrong, I love Ganymede). A very nishy scent awaits you here. "Smoky" "leathery" "metallic". I don't think it needs a specific occasion. You can wear it in the office as well as at work. Also very wearable privately. An all-rounder for every occasion. But definitely not for beginners!
