A Powdery Surprise
Some of you might be surprised now: powdery? Yes, exactly. And even creamy.
I find that strange too. And when I read the previous short reviews here: my scent perception on my skin hardly matches - not sharp, not overly fruity, or anything like that. I sprayed it on and later, while looking at parfumo, I wondered: If this is really the one I have on, then it is delicious and even a wish candidate.
The bottle does not match the scent in my opinion; a powdery hue and a curved shape would be more fitting to my perception. I do perceive a progression, which is not linear for me: the top note is berry-like and light, the heart is somehow unusual, and the base, even as it fades after unfortunately just 5 hours on my skin, is almost only amber and beautifully soft. However, the berry still shines through for a long time. I can't distinguish the rose and the other notes separately. But that doesn't matter. Overall, for me, it is an elegant composition, and I am completely perplexed because I didn't expect this. Just (m)y powdery surprise.

Elf Dance
For days, it has been my faithful companion, day in and day out, unobtrusive yet present. I am so taken with its green-herbaceous playful tuberose sweetness, floral yet not at all opulent (even though I like that). Anyone who enjoys tuberose and angelica will find this to be a delight. It is by no means gourmand, not woody or earthy, nor sugary. Instead, it shines brightly, a picture of a green clearing where little elves dance, that comes to my mind. This fragrance makes (me) happy and invites dreaming. An ideal companion through stressful days, as it conveys lightness and joy. Such a beautiful clear, almost linear scent. The sillage is close to the body, present for many hours. For me, a spritz in the morning is enough on the skin, and I still catch a whiff of it 10 hours later - probably no one else does, as it is so close to the body, but if sprayed on clothing or hair, it lasts even longer, up to 18 hours, and still remains unobtrusive. I received a surprise decant from the lovely QueeN after this fragrance had been on my wish list since I first sniffed it last year in Munich at Beck. I think it will stay on my wish list and will eventually find a permanent home with me, as the decant is unfortunately almost used up.

No Surprise - Typical Issey!
That was my first thought. I can hardly notice any differences compared to other Issey variations. Asian-fruity, clear, and only much later does a hint of vanilla come in. The scent remains consistent otherwise, characterized by its unmistakable Issey charm for me. Young, fresh, lively, unexciting and ... boring. Because anyone who observes the Issey line olfactorily will notice that everything follows a line, unmistakable, not very adventurous. I do like the Issey fragrances, but I hope with each new scent for something new that truly represents a variation. So I can only say: Nice!
The bottle is unmistakably a design from the IM line.
The longevity is quite good at 4-6 hours, just like with all IM fragrances (on my skin at least).
The sillage is also not to be underestimated, but it is unobtrusive.
So in these aspects, IM remains just as true to itself as in the fragrance line. I will continue to diligently observe the fragrance variations and am curious if one day a surprise component will bring excitement.

Exciting Sunscreen
Unfortunately, the scent will not remain at the initial 80+ points for me either, as at some point I find the sillage quite overwhelming and I almost fear getting a sunburn. What is the reason for that?
Completely different from all the other Juliette scents that I highly appreciate, this one goes in a powdery direction. Very creamy, floral, gentle. Not at all loudly inviting, as all the other Juliette fragrances lure me in. And once a few minutes have passed and I understand that it is due to the orange blossoms and almond, I feel reminded of sunscreen from the 70s. Could that be? Yes, a repeated sniff at my wrist confirms it for me.
For me, neroli and bergamot are only slightly perceptible at the beginning, but they do not have the 4711 note (which I even love in a vanillic composition like in Safanad or Chic & Boheme). And they soon disappear.
Overall, the scent has an exceptional sillage, quite sunny and powdery, and a longevity of about 6 hours on my skin; the scent development is linear for me. The bottle does not seem to match the fragrance at all in my opinion. A nude tone would have suited it better, perhaps even a sun-kissed skin tone;-) The name is gentle, feminine, but not the counterpart to the gentleman that I have in mind. For that, it lacks a certain something.
So, feel free to approach it, it may be worth it for many. For me, it does not make it onto the wish list, no matter how extraordinary it is. I like it, but that's it.

Because I'm happy
... because I love the scent and it carries a feeling of happiness within
... because I wear the scent when I am happy
... because I wear the scent when I want to be happy
A zesty-fruity opening (not typical for mandarin, which usually comes across as powdery), closely followed by bright jasmine, alluring orange blossoms, and a hint of tuberose, this is a cheerful opulent bouquet of flowers with plenty of sunshine in the soul. The base is indeed what the name suggests: a foundation for this floral golden character of fragrance. It doesn't push itself forward, not even after hours, because the heart radiates from beginning to end. As golden yellow as the liquid, as golden as the bottle cap and label, so golden yellow the jasmine enchants the soul of the wearer.
The longer-lasting EdP (on my skin at least 7 hours, on hair and clothing significantly longer) is a bit powderier, softer, and fluffier than the somewhat fresher EdT.
There is nothing more for me to say about this dreamy scent. It makes me rave and lifts me to sunny heights. Every time I wear the fragrance, it never gets boring and doesn't wear off. This is so far one of my absolute favorites and truly makes me happy.
