Full steam ahead on the journey to cuddly land
In the old days, a long, long time ago, when holidays or a trip were still part of the everyday things in life, a ride on a steam locomotive train was always an extraordinary experience and often the reason for an excursion. These trains, now usually running on narrow gauge, give off an impressive flair of travel and a feeling of being special due to their sounds, smell and open construction.

In addition to some adventure or tourist railways, there are still a little more than 20 railway companies in the German-speaking world today that offer scheduled operation with steam locomotives. Among them we find such well-known names as the Rasenden Roland on Rügen, the Bäderbahn Molli, the Brockenbahn, the Lößnitzgrundbahn, the Waldviertler Schmalspurbahn and the Chiemseebahn or Bockerlbahn. Unfortunately, there is no perfume train among them, and so it is a special pleasure for me to invite you to an odor-intensive ride on my virtual scented train. Accompanying us will be the perfume Sweet Tobacco by François Delì.

Sweet Tobacco by François Delì is a dominant, very spicy fragrance. Tonangebend is the fragrance note clove. Among the nine listed fragrance notes, it is so to speak the steam locomotive, which distributes its aroma to the last car in full speed. The cinnamon, which could represent the tender that follows the locomotive, is also invigorating and reinforcing, providing a constant supply. This cinnamon note also comes across as very clove-like and is only secondarily cinnamony. In the first carriages of our scented train, where ginger, coriander, tobacco and woods have their home, the windows are wide open, so that a strong, clove-like breeze blows into the carriages. At the very front it is also sharp and tingling, and in the first compartment, that is, at the beginning, it is even a bit strong. This strong spicy-aromatic clove-cinnamon aroma leaves little room for an independent existence of the middle scents, which, however, make the scent more pleasing, softer and warmer the further you get back in the train. The lovely tobacco alone is well noticeable after about an hour/two with the sweetness coming on as a deliciously spicy pipe herb.

To stay with the image of the train we locate into the last carriages the dining, sleeping and packing compartments. Here the ride becomes very commodious. It smells neatly sweet, but rather tartly sweet with a subtle, slightly marzipan vanilla in the background and still spicy backed by the now very warm, cinnamon-clovey tones. Light cocktails and desserts are served in the dining car, mulled wine and Spekulatius biscuits herald plenty of spicy treats and there is a pleasant, cosy atmosphere. The beds are made up and in the certainty of taking this pleasantly scented feeling of well-being with you into the morning, you lie down in bed to snuggle up for a bit or to fall asleep right away, well-scented. When you wake up the next day relaxed, the scent is hardly perceptible after eight to ten hours. He is called, however, again in sympathetic memory when receiving the suitcases and things from the luggage cart, in which he, adhering to textiles much longer, is deeply absorbed.

Sweet Tobacco by François Delì is rather a perfume for the now fading, colder season and yes, it also has something Christmassy about it, without being creamy, sticky or penetrant-sweet. So it's an ideal scent (if you like the strong spice too, of course) for all snow activities as well as the cold times at the markets, parties, family gatherings or even romantic togetherness in the winter candlelight. Of course, the fragrance also cuts a great figure during après-ski and long walks after a good, rich meal. And who of the seductive aroma during the autumn and winter time is not over, extends foolhardy the cool wearing time at will.

Connected with the wish soon again real carefree trips to be able to experience, I thank all readers for the company of this virtual scent ramble!

Girls' night out - just like a woman
"Surprise gift for everyone, please don't put on perfume, Anna"!
This message raised the expectations of the wartsab group girls' evening in the run-up to the evening meeting, and the excitement was intensified by a slight crackling of the tender phone as it was stroked. The wartsab message had been sent by Anna Lühse, a therapist with her own practice who was unfortunately unable to attend the last meeting. Ms. Dipl.-Psych. Anna Lühse recently celebrated her 40th birthday, is professionally very committed and divorced.

After the first chatter somewhat flattened, Bärbel's Schnittchen effusively praised and the Proseccogläs were filled again, Mrs. Dipl.-Psych. Anna Lühse placed her recently newly purchased MCM bag in the middle of the flat table, directly in front of Jackie, alias Jacques jelly, who sat as always with his cat puss on the sofa. Jackie got wide-eyed at the pretty, cognac-colored shopper. Before he could pull this to himself, Anna reached in and distributed to each in the round a bottle of the perfume Obelisk of MCM

Somewhat sadly Anna reported to have found Obelisk in the sale for free in the three-pack in the drugstore. There the idea came to her this 80/90s fragrance today all girls to transfer and to revive with it perhaps memories and experiences from elapsed time. The first remarks were lost in the general and joyful surprise. Anna called for a little calming down and suggested that everyone apply two/three sprays to themselves in order to give free space to their own thoughts. No sooner said than done, all the girls looked for a comfortable spot and off they went.

A fresh juiciness spread in the room. It smelled very fruity, like orange, also lemony and green-spicy, not sweet, but tangy-spritzy. Freshly squeezed, citrusy fruit juice on mown green herb meadow probably sums it up well.

At such a meadow parked in the mid-90s at a retro meeting also my old VW bus mused Melody Vögele-Schmitz, young at heart old 68erin. For her in the self-sewn dress from self-dyed batik sheets and the VW bus it was the last big ride together. And a smile flitted across her face as she closed her eyes to remember more clearly the days and especially nights she and Francesco spent here together.

Anna, by now somewhat at peace, also enjoyed the spicy-juicy olfactory experience. She immediately fell back into her own self-pity, however. In this, Anna fancied herself somewhat very much on the sidelines as far as life and love were concerned. Actually, I'm an obelisk too, it went through her mind. Well-built, beautiful to look at, full of inner values, but in the meantime on the residual ramp of love, little valued, not yet completely forgotten by life, but left behind in the junk box unnoticed.

Meanwhile, a larger oriental carpet has already been rolled out on the lush spice meadow and earthy-woody tones make the place on it soft and cuddly. This oriental undertone mixes with subtle florality and slightly musty-hay floral notes before everything melts into a wonderful creaminess. This wraps itself velvety-warm and very aromatic around a sandalwood/cedarwood melange with slightly sweet dips of vanilla, ending in a comforting sense of warmth. There is no heaviness in this warm, balsamic butteriness and even the juicy spicy aromatics of the beginning are still present deep in the background.

Bärbel, butcher shop saleswoman at Metzger Axthelm, also felt this comforting warmth. Both in the scent of obelisk and in her love affair with the butcher. Since the last girls' night out, their relationship had taken a turn for the best, and they were likely to be married soon.

Optometrist Klara Sicht tensed her muscles a little, not quite wanting to get involved in this scent-well. For as long as she could remember, her life had been one long struggle. Not ugly, but with her glasses, even as a schoolgirl, never the prettiest, never the smartest, never the most fashionable, never the first on the dance floor and never the most desirable guy as a boyfriend. So she fought glasses jokes, prejudice, calories and not being noticed. She also had to conquer her husband! Now she is a strong woman and a role model, not only in the girls round!

The other girls sat relaxed together, one smiled, one whispered and two held hands familiarly. Only Jackie, holding the MCM shopper tightly in her hands, had fallen asleep next to kitty on the sofa.

With the removal of the MCM label from the bottle and packaging, Obelisk was stripped of part of its identity. Nevertheless, Obelisk remains a fragrance full of liveliness and elegance, a fragrance for an independent woman! Obelisk does not get woman as a gift, Obelisk buys woman herself and treats herself with it a few hours of charming vulnerability for her otherwise so demanding life.

As the round dispersed a little later today, the room still had the smell of a waxy, oriental vanilla, it smelled spicy and a sense of balmy warmth accompanied the girls home. They were somewhat introverted and each held her bottle of Obelisk in her hands. The canapés were eaten and also the empty Prosecco bottles testified to a sociable evening

Thanks to all of you for listening to the second girls' evening, and especially to Schatzsucher for establishing contact with Anna Lühse, Dipl.-Psych.

Havana Moon - the Stones are coming!
The air is shimmering in Havana. It is not yet the sultry heat of the coming rainy season, rather the dry, somewhat cool-fresh, spicy herbaceousness of the grasses, flowers and fruits, more hay-green than gourmand-warm. In the same way, Havana perfume by Aramis opens its olfactory explosion with green herbs, fresh fruit, cumin, floral and spicy. A fragrance that would suit many places in the world.

But we are in Havana, Cuba, the land of casinos, clubs, despots and mafiosis, the favorite place of the great Hemingway, cigars and rum, in the land of mambo, rumba, cha-cha-cha, elegant dancers, attractive ladies and proud women, the island of the revolution of Che and Fidel in which every citizen can write more than just his name.

When Ernest Hemingway was asked why he lived in Cuba, he answered with a declaration of love and said "because he liked it"! We too like Cuba, but today we are there because of them, today is Havana Moon, the Rolling Stones are coming. Meanwhile, not only the air is shimmering, the ground begins to vibrate slightly from the 500,000 visitors of the Benefit Open Air Concert, who together, close together, expectantly unite the joy of life, lightheartedness and tradition of the island.

And so it goes with our Aramis perfume Havana. The tangy, herbaceous opening bouquet retreats somewhat, it remains dry and cold, still green tobacco leaf scent, very slightly resinous and smoky underpinnings, pushes into the foreground. Supplemented by an idea of spicy orientalism, the fragrance, without noticeable sweetness, very slowly transitions into a darker, earthy-leathery aromatics with tart tobacco notes.

The first songs are played and Benita, the reader, the lectora de tabaquería, gets moist eyes listening. Hours ago, she was reading to the torcedores herself as they worked. Her partner, also a torcedoreo, holds her close and hugs her happily with his brown hands, still tobacco and fragrant, while they listen to Honky Tonk Women. Torcedores roll the world's coveted handmade Cohibas, Romeo y Julietas, and Montecristos with great skill on the galeras of cigar factories. Today and now, however, they too celebrate.

The mood is boisterous, joyous, celebratory and loud, the crowd of listeners quaking, music, pleasure, joy, now and here in the moment. The old men on stage give their best and are aware of the history. With the queues of old-timers parked a little off, there is still peace, the bars await the onslaught of tourists, in the distant Naval Base military base, Guantanamo Bay is icy silence, the beach of Varadero and the Bay of Pigs lie peacefully under the evening sky.

From Angie to You Can't Always Get What You Want, the greatest hits have left the stage and the concert is drawing to a close. Quieter, warm, melancholy moods are coming.

Our scent, Havana by Aramis, continues to be thick, rich, and persistent. A splash of sweetness now makes the austere masculinity more pleasing, the earthy spicy tobacco a little cozier and the oriental a little more pronounced. A lingering hint of slightly smoky vanilla announces the conciliatory conclusion to a special olfactory experience. Now the perfume also fits perfectly with this tropical night and Havana. A fragrance with the charm of faded values from an almost bygone era, but at the same time as powerful, young and dynamic as youth can only be!

The stage is empty, satisfied and full of euphoria, the people disperse, the morning after is still far. Mafia boss Meyer Lansky remains missing. Jack-of-all-trades, macho, womanizer and war reporter Ernest Hemingway has made himself comfortable with a Cuba Libre in his Finca Vigia. On the beach, the old man and the sea look saddened and exhausted at the remains of the giant marlin and from the background, hidden in dense fields of sugar cane and tobacco, Che and Fidel also wave, somewhat sadly, at the goings-on. The Habanos glow and rum is also still plenty.

For reading and the small trip to a concert of superlatives very sincere thanks!

Girls' Night Out
Yesterday big, double excitement in our wartsab group "girls' night". Jackie had, while trying to install the heavy retro-dry hood, dislocated his arm and Melody spoiled his stomach while trying the new quinoa spelt Maultaschen at the weekly market. Jackie, real name Jacques Gelee, is our hairdresser, good friend and fellow member (literally the only one) of the girls' night out group, Melody Vögele-Schmitz is a young-at-heart old 68er and independent artist. Both can probably participate in the meeting despite their misfortune.

Also present pharmacist Dr.Pille, first name Susi, primary school teacher Fräulein Elisabeth, optician Klara Sicht, furthermore the Bärbel, butcher shop saleswoman at Metzger Axthelm and Ilse, manager of the kiosk with attached post office, sewing and ironing service.

Emerged from a Rehaturnen (all the girls have backs), they later met further and got along very well with each other. The current wartsab group "girls' night" always meets on the first Monday of the month to chat, gossip and be funny. There are Schnittchen of Bärbel, Prosecco, egg and cherry liqueur, the topics are varied, mainly it is about men, lingerie, fashion, perfume or Tupperware.

This time Bärbel, butcher shop saleswoman and Gspusi of the divorced butcher Axthelm, had prepared an extra surprise. From plenty of sweetened condensed milk, some tangerine pulp, orange zest, chopped pistachios and a few splashes of rose water, she had made for everyone a small bowl of traditional Indian ice cream, a frozen milk dessert, also called Kulfi. At the same time, she presented a perfume bottle of Noir Extreme by Tom Ford, asking for the girls' advice on whether this fragrance would make a good gift for the butcher?

Bärbel, a robust, mature woman in her late forties was in her younger years a nasty propaganda of her friends at the time. They told her that beauty was not important and that those who spread it were the most blessed. So she paid little attention to herself and the others could bask in their own glory all the more. A frustrating time full of failures that doesn't seem any better by the fact that she is now getting prettier and prettier as a mature woman, while her former friends are visibly yellowing.

At the divorced Master Axthelm she did not want to fail and be more than a Fleischerfachgspusi. She asked in the round whether it was appropriate at least after work once to smell like a milk dessert or like Christmas spiced milk noodles or baklava with a layer of crème brûlée on top, wärend otherwise constantly the smell of sausage and smoked?

The delicious scent of the first spray made it clear that Noir Extreme is strong enough to mask the butcher's odor that constantly clings to the butcher's axe helmet. Primary school teacher Fräulein Elisabeth took the floor. Strong, delicious and good as the tasty Kulfi was the scent. The perfume smelled pleasant, but to wear it herself it was too sweet, a bit turgid and constantly reminded her to count calories. At her age, she was about to retire, she would have to be even more self-conscious, because she wanted to devote herself completely to the successful search for a partner soon. Susi (Mrs. Dr.Pille) threw in with an important look, that already Marco Polo brought the Kulfirezept of the Kublai Khan, whereupon the Italians quickly invented the Gelato.

Jackie was instantly enamored with this delicately spicy, milky dessert note that accompanied the scent for a long stretch. He liked the sweetness just as much as his cat Kitty did while sitting on the sofa with him, especially the short, sweet-fruity beginning as well as the subtle, unobtrusive spice to the honeyed, strong sweetness of the middle and the onset of smoky, dark-vanilla warmth to the all-too-early sensual-sweet ending. This charming fragrance transformation from powdery to fine-creamy laid like a silky-smoky vanilla scarf delicately around the bodies of the girls!

Our young-at-heart old 68erin, Melody Vögele-Schmitz, nowadays with the electric bike on the road, remembered with moist eyes at Noir Extreme still the harmonious, sweet, cuddly scent of the many fetes inside her old VW bus on tour.

Optometrist Klara Sicht probably had the most unclouded view of the perfume by pontificating, full of praise. The deep dark orientalism of typical basar spices and the floral sprinkles of fruit and rose form the noble, seductive frame for the powerful, delicious sweetness with all its facets of dried fruit, candied fruit, morning pastry, milk cream or just Kulfi. Subtle smoke and impressive vanilla make the fragrance elegant and accompany a harmoniously soft and warming finish, which unfortunately loses vitality far too quickly. After 5-7 hours is the end!

The recommendation of the girls round to Bärbel was clear. With Noir Extreme she should permanently move a little closer to the candy-loving butcher. Although "the buck was not yet entgültig erlegt", but all press firmly the fingers.

Tonight's girls evening thanks you for's kiebitzen!

Petition letter for my little sister!
Dear perfume friends, dear readers,

do you know my younger sister? Surely rather not and therefore I ask also with this open letter for a little more attention for the little one.

Both our scent is very loved by many ladies and gentlemen, often exuberant and uncompromising. On the other hand, some people do not like us at all, often even including some disgust. What we rarely encounter is indifference.

We are both brash, daring sisters with a penchant for feminine-erotic sensuality, provocative rather than shy and full of frivolous elegance. The perfumes we represent, Black Orchid EdP and Black Orchid EdT, are among the best that both of our fathers, Tom Ford and David Appel, ever created.

Their motives for developing such creations were many. The desire to overcome the restrictive values and norms of the time also in the field of fragrances or the urge to find identity, self-realization and creative freedom played just as much a role as an eccentric nature, rebellion against the parental generation and of course the passionate dedication to the art of perfumery, whether this is enough to earn a living or not.

I, the big sister and an EdP, was always the olfactory and burlesque provocateur with juice and power in the sense of the word, made for strong women and women who want to radiate such and for men who love these women. My olfactory heaviness and my drunken, provocative noblesse has always been part of the backbone that should support the clients and also customers during the day and sweeten the night. Confessed, experienced and life-affirming people!

Our fragrances are very, very similar in the basics. She, my little sister, an EdT was born, however, with a, in comparison, youthful-cheerful freshness that you can only begin to imagine in me. Her brighter youthful fresher charm lacks somewhat my bulky, massive complexity, which seems a bit oily and leaden, but is part of Black Orchid's mysterious and seductive aura.

This is also evident in the drydown. In the EdP moist-earthy, sweet heaviness and in the EdT only slightly sweet, balsamic-woody, earthy moisture. In the eau de toilette, the scents are more clearly felt. The truffle is subtly mushroomy noticeable, the fruity and floral accords are clear as such and the erotic sensuality wears a silky lace panty rather than a thong. If my little sister imparts the burlesque, tantalizing sensation of a beguiling buzz, they receive a gripping rush from me. In both cases, woman/man is sexually intoxicated, if you let them.

Black Orchid EdT wants to lure, among other things, self-confident, young people who have just left their teenage years and are also looking for new ways olfactory. They know the Ponnyhofzeiten ended and are, like Tom Ford and David Appel, in search of identity, realization and creative freedom, as well as full of covetous impatience to finally live out their thought unchastity. My fragrant younger sister can and will be a faithful and supportive companion to them. And who knows, maybe they learn, dear perfume friends, then also sometime once me, her bigger sister to know!

PS: In the meantime, a straggler was born to us, a golden nestling. Called Perfume, the golden rascal is very noble. But I tell you, it has fist thick behind the ears!

Thank you very much for your time and attention. With kind regards, we recommend us!
