Cocoa powder kisses
This is a gorgeous frag and unlike anything Zackaria has made before. It opens with a beautiful, almost vintage smelling powdery mysore sandalwood, with an animalic bite behind it. No pissiness or dingleberries on this animal, just a really clean bite to nicely balance the creamy/powderiness of the sandalwood. Cocoa comes in as a supporting actor in the end to tie everything up together nicely. Dry down has the animalics slowly fading in to the sandalwood as the cocoa becomes more present. Definitely a multilayered fragrance. Another great frag from anomalous.
Fit for royalty only.
So this is Zackaria’s newest frag (05/2025) and I wish everyone could smell this limited release. You can really tell his growth as a perfumer with this one, and it’s exponential. It honestly smells like something Areej would make. It’s a true classic cypher with a non ifra complaint dose of oak moss. It’s sooooo elegant. The florals are gental yet regal, it sits on this beatiful earthy base. Not green, not dirty, just a stunning smell. Like a room of just just blooming flowers. A true Garden of Eden. Unisex doesn’t fit this well, this perfume is made for royalty.
My favorite angry citrus
It’s blood orange, oud, amber, and animal parts. This fragrance is loud and in your face, and that’s why I love it. It’s like you made blood orange out of molten lava. It’s kinda angry. I find that I wear it most after wearing something gentle all day like a tea frag, and I get home and really just want something aggressive. It’s honestly a lot more multipurpose and wearable than my review is letting on, but it’s definitely not your everyday take on citrus. It’s my favorite angry ass citrus.
Top 5 in my collection
I own 3 bottles of this for a reason, it’s one of my favorite scents. Ambergris, driftwood, benzoin, and vanilla are the main players in this. It opens up with driftwood and a clean warm ambergris, giving you a true amber that most other perfumes have to build an accord to replicate. The driftwood gradually begins to fade in the back, and the benzoin and vanilla start to come in giving this frag a nice cozy finish. The ambergris stays with the frag through out its journey. Beautiful in ways that other frags can only dream of being. Longevity is tremendous, serious 3 foot scent bubble all day. Leans masculine.
A full meal
This is an interesting gourmand. The main player is this purple-red plum accord, and a real symphony of notes of notes underneath, a very well blended mix of dried fruits, whiskey, velvety rose, and a touch of oud. The fragrance feels thick, like a heavy meal. It’s as much of an art piece as a perfume. It’s very wearable, especially for the holidays, and for cozy days indoors. I’m meh on gourmands and I very much enjoy this. I imagine if you love plums or gourmands, this might be a real love for you.
