Oud beneath the Sun
First spritz and you're greeted by a mandarin so bright and nearly boozy with almost nutty undertones that bring a cozy warmth to the opening. Quite the bold start.

After the inital hit of mandarin you’re embraced by a lustrous saffron and a rose bouquet that’s anything but ordinary. The Bulgarian rose sparkles as if it’s been dusted with morning dew, while the Turkish rose here offers a drier, nearly restrained allure (think of Jazeel’s Ghala, but a tad more mysterious). There’s a delicate touch of jasmine lurking in the background, softening the richness, but never upstaging.

As it dries down, the fragrance takes on a shadowy dimension—woody and oudy, yet surprisingly balanced. Here, the Indian oud plays the lead, with just a subtle hint of Cambodi. And—thankfully—no sour or cheesy notes to be found! A seamless transition follows, with castoreum and patchouli adding an almost animalic warmth, softened by a rather polite touch of musk and silky Australian sandalwood that rounds things out.

Now, some might say, “Oh, another Rose Oud?” But honestly, this is no ordinary act. It’s a slow-burning beauty, unfurling with depth and grace.

Excited for what comes next from this brand!

Dissapointed
This perfume is a rose and oud perfume. The rose is much more prominent than the oud, and is smooth. It opens with a citrus accord with the oud rose. After a while, the citrus subdues and it is just a smooth rose and oud.

I am honestly dissapointed since there are so many notes listed, yet only a few can be smellt. The perfumer claims to use natural deer musk, which is hard to believe, since there is no musk to smell.

I would expect a more intense and challenging and scary scent, since it is based on such an incredible story.

The longevity is around six hours for me, and the projection is strong.

I am also very dissapointed to find out that the lable on the bottle is AI generated. No artistery here!

Quality at a bargain
Rose & Oud. A common combination, done uncommonly well. Beautifully crafted from start to finish. And the dry down is the part I love most. Musky, powdery, woody - it had me reaching for this bottle almost everyday for the past week.

But imo the biggest thing Anomalous brings to the table is value. Looking at the current market - This quality, at this price point, is almost charity work. Well done Bro Zackariya. Looking forward to more offerings from this promising house.

My favorite angry citrus
It’s blood orange, oud, amber, and animal parts. This fragrance is loud and in your face, and that’s why I love it. It’s like you made blood orange out of molten lava. It’s kinda angry. I find that I wear it most after wearing something gentle all day like a tea frag, and I get home and really just want something aggressive. It’s honestly a lot more multipurpose and wearable than my review is letting on, but it’s definitely not your everyday take on citrus. It’s my favorite angry ass citrus.

What the guy below me in the other statement said ↓
Maybe the oud could be more prominent, and I get more musk and orange. Still good though

If you are into oud and rose fragrances then you will absolutely love this. It is such a captivating scent and lasts for an eternity.

Lush, intense roses quickly lose their citrusy morning freshness and turn saffron red, dark and woody. Oud? More hidden, shaded.

Here, the rose dominates, initially with citrus hints. Later floral, rather strict. Ouds barely noticeable, 08/15 musk.

Famous game in a chic bottle.
Instead of the Orient, this time Australia.
Velvety rose battling through oud, myrrh, and sandalwood.

Briefly Mandarin/Neroli at the start,
Then a distinct rose scent, with a hint of jasmine.
Underscored by oud/artificial musk.
