For incense, the bar was set with Tom Ford’s Sahara Noir. Encens Suave by Matiere Premier is one of my favorite modern takes on incense.
For smoke, the winner will always be Cuir by Mona di Orio.

Thanks for the tip about Sahara Noir. It's the first time I hear about it. You know I completely missed adding Encens Suave here. I used to have Cuir but I sold it as I found it very hard to wear.

My favorite category! Filippo Sorcinelli is exeptionally talented in this matter. Personally, I consider LAVS to be the benchmark of incense fragrances, Quando rapita in estasi is amazing as well.

Yeah Sorcinelli has excellent incense fragrances. I had LAVS and I sold it. Perhaps I will buy another one in future.

#Bois d'Ascese- I'm happy that I have this one in my collection.
Adorem by Nez is a great addition. frankincense and soft cocoa.

Yes, I do like incense, resins and smoke. Zefiro looks interesting and I have a sample of Purpose waiting to be tested. Recently tested and then purchases Molten Ambra which is a really nice resinous fragrance. And, of course, there's always Ambre Sultan and Interlude Man.

Excellent choices. Purpose is one of my favs right now. Let me know how you like that one. Ambre Sultan I had like 5 years ago and it was too complex for me and I sold it. Someday Id buy another bottle. Molten Ambra is new to me. Thanks for the tip.

@RahulESJ Its more thicker and more amplified. Amber accord mixed with coffee in the drydown like @Kiddy mentioned, its so smooth. Winter wear bliss!

Agree with you!!! encens suave is so beautiful. Even it is on the sweet side!! And is having this vanilla thing going on. it’s so smooth.
