Aventus for Me
Hooly smokes!
The initial whiff of this is just spectacular.
It's got very little similarity to the men's CREED Aventus with the apple and some pineapple.
I was repulsed by the birch, smoke and ambroxan in the men's line, but this one right here....
Maan it ticks all my boxes of a great scent.
Yes, it's marketed for her, but darling this is for me as a man.
It's fruity, sweet (not too sweet) with some really nice florals blended in such a masterful way. Sometimes I get a shy ylang-ylang popping up and disappearing into the citruses.
I thought I had the next best thing with CREED Silver Mountain Water, until I met her. I might just make this my signature.
Oh and did I mention how mouthwatering that green apple is?
Okay, bye.

Bland Is In the Name....
First of all, I totally agree with the review below me.
This is a stripped version of the Stronger With You DNA.
I understand what the perfumer was trying. The aim was just to get a mass pleasing scent that works in the colder weather for all ages and sexes.
But then again, there's niche connosouiers who were expecting to be blown away, and that's where the problem lies.
You see amber as an individual note is not breathtaking. Its just a supportive sweet, slightly synthetic accord that is used together with accords like vanilla, honey, tonkabean and the rest to give a scent some spine.
Being that this is an amber forward scent, you can guess where your expectations would lie.
Again, another problem lies with the fact that this kind of DNA is just too common that you've probably smelled the drydown of many winter scents like JPG Le Male Elixir and mastered the scent profile.
What then is this scent good for?
Layering. I would say.
Also, it might be good for you if you have never smelled this kind of DNA before.

Mysterious Creamy Vanilla..
To me this scent is a simple yet mysterious vanilla.
Yes, I know I might be a little late to the party but I have never smelled anything quite intriguing as a vanilla, ginger and lavender with cacao combo having a blend so elegant.
The stars are definitely the vanilla with the lavender.
Now, this scent to me can get cloying when over applied especially in the high heat, so you want to wear this in cooler climates.
For reference, I am using a small perfume oil vial and goodness, just a tip of oil on my tshirt fills my entire room that sometimes I can't even smell my scent of the day.
Now tell me, why do I see Angelina Jolie winking at me wearing a gold dinner dress when I try this scent?
I'm a gent incase you didn't connect the dots.

Elizabeth Arden's Green Tea with a Sparkle
The first sniff of this scent immediately took me back to Green Tea by Elizabeth Arden. I am shocked no one else is claiming the same.
The opening to me will not blow you away, but it's worth a good like. It may smell similar to hundreds of other great freshies with the lemon or yuzu note.
However, as it dries down, that's where the magic happens. The little harsh citron is tamed down and you start to get bits of carrots, apricot, blackcurrant and a tiny bit of fig.
I'm still testing the scent out, but so far it's a good scent.
Problem is, it's worth a kidney. So I don't think I recommend this over something like Allure Homme Sport. But if you can get a full bottle, the better for you.
Update: Still love it, and the more I wear it, the more I get accords of apricot and dates.
Elizabeth Arden's Green Tea is still hinted here.

The Forgotten Gem...
I'm not a huge fan of Lancôme, especially with the overworn La Vie est Belle (with the numerous flankers thanks to its success).
However, I managed to watch a review of Monika Cioch from her YouTube channel and I was intrigued to try Poeme out, since I like being surprised by underdogs.
I looked through the plethora of notes and was excited to try it out and finally got a small perfume oil version. The juice was abit golden and it was smelling great even before trying it.
I tested it and my...I was so pleased with the olfactory quality. I was immediately transported to a lush field of yellow and white flowers with bees buzzing around while the sun was shining in the background.
It has this impeccable photorealistic quality of nature that my mouth was drooling from the nectar feel of the scent. It's as if I was smelling the air but I was almost tasting the nectar of a flower.
It has this nostalgic feel to it like a lover writing a love poem to the other.
The scent feels slightly mature, so I guess younger ladies might associate this to their mothers.
It's sultry to an adequate extent backed up with some warm yellow and fresh white florals.
I think this can be worn by a woman in all seasons well.
Being that this scent came out in 1995, I am sure it's not the same with reformulations and all. If you can get a perfume oil maybe you will see what I see.
